The above procedure should be repeated to make three more posts. The supporting posts have to be connected to each other with side supports to make the frame required for building a park bench. Side supports for the shorter side should be 10 inches in length while those meant for long side need to be 40 inches long. Side supports have to be placed in between the posts and in aligned with their top edges. The construction of frame gets completed by aligning and fixing side supports in between the posts.

Fixing the Cross Braces
The cross braces to be used for this park bench need to have a length of 15 inches each. You can fix 3 cross braces between the long side supports and positioned equidistant to each other; screwing is done to connect long side supports with the cross braces.

Building the Seat
The seat of this park bench is constructed with the help of 1 x 3 inch wooden planks that are 45 inch long. Five-six wooden planks would be needed to build the seat (depending on the amount of space left between each plank). The planks should be fixed to short side supports of the frame of bench by means of screwing. The bench should be made waterproof by painting it with a primer followed by a finish coat.

The concrete park benches are both affordable and comfortable to use. In order to build a concrete garden bench, one can use materials such as cement bags, gravel, old planks, etc. These benches don't require any kind of special expertise and can be built at home itself. To build a concrete bench, first of all you would need a mold. A mold can also be made at home. However, if you want to speed up the work of building the bench, it would be advisable to go for one that is ready-made.
