How to Broil a Steak in an Electric Oven

Ingredients
- Steak
- Olive oil
- Coarsely ground black pepper
- Marinade (optional)
- 1 minced garlic bud
- Salt
- Oven mitts
- Paper towels
- Well seasoned cast iron skillet
- A large spatula
Before cooking steak in the oven, place the steak in the desired steak marinade recipe and then place the bowl in a refrigerator, for about 3 to 4 hours. Then, take out the bowl from the fridge and let the steak rest at room temperature for about 30 to 40 minutes. In case you want to tough the steak, make sure that you use only tongs, spatula or paper towels. Then rub the steak with pepper and garlic. If you do not prefer marinating, then drizzle olive oil on the steak, and then sprinkle salt and pepper on it and rub the minced garlic on it. Now, place the oven rack on its highest position, which is approximately 4 inches to 6 inches away from the direct heat.

How to Broil Rib Eye Steak in an Electric Oven
Ingredients

- Olive oil
- Coarsely ground black pepper
- Marinade (optional)
- Garlic powder
- Salt
- Rosemary
- Thyme
- Aluminum foil
- Oven mitts
- Broiler pan
While learning how to broil a ribeye steak, first of all, mix all the herbs, garlic powder and salt in a bowl. Then coat all the sides of ribeye steak with olive oil and rub the herb mixture on it. Then preheat the broiler pan by covering it with the aluminum foil for 10 to 15 minutes. Then place the steak on the preheated broiler pan and place the pan inside at the highest position in the electric oven. Broil the steak at 160 degree F for about 5 minutes (for medium-well), 150 degree F for about 3 minutes (for medium) and 130 degree F 1 minute (for rare) broiled steak. You need to turn the side of the steak and cook both the sides for equal duration.
