Supplies:
- Powdered hair bleach
- Old clothing
- Hair peroxide (level 40)
- Hair dryer
- Plastic gloves
- Towels and washcloths
- Plastic dish and plastic spoon
- Deep conditioning mask
- To begin with, wear an old set of clothes that you won't mind staining. Hair bleach has a pretty harsh chemical composition and wearing a pair of gloves will protect your hands from its burning effects.
- Buy a good quality product that offers consumer help. Before starting, check if the bleach kit has a toll free consumer help number. In the plastic bowl, use a plastic spoon to combine one part hair peroxide with one part powdered hair bleach.
- Now begin to apply the bleach to your hair, starting with the hair at the back of your head. Also apply from tip to scalp. The most effective way to bleach is to section off your hair in ½'' bunches and deal with one bunch at a time.
- Be very careful not to get any bleach on your face or scalp. In the event that it does happen, quickly wipe it off using a wet towel. One way to protect your skin is applying vaseline or hair conditioner to the edge of your hair line, which will act as a barrier between the bleach and your skin.
- After applying the bleach, collect all your hair and pile it on the top of your head. Put a shower cap and blow dry your hair all over to keep the bleach warm. - After rinsing out the toner, coat your hair with a generous layer of a deep conditioning mask, leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes and rinse.
