How to Become an Affiliate

Everyone is searching for it, odds are that is what brought you here. We all want to make extra income and we want to do it on the internet. We have all seen the ads on the internet promising you a $5000.00 check within a week. So the question is, how do they do it?

The answer to that question is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a pretty simple process to understand. A company has a product and they want to sell it. This is where you come in. You put in the efforts selling the product through ad campaigns that you design and they pay you for it.

This works so well, because instead of keeping a full time ad staff on board, they share their revenue with affiliate marketers. This provides the needed marketing without the cost of benefits and full time salary. They only pay you when you make money for them.

As far as designing the ad campaign, you have a ton of options. You can do it through Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns, free marketing, or even grass roots marketing.

PPC is where you place an ad on a place like Google and you pay them a certain amount every time someone clicks on your ad. This works well and is one of the best methods to guarantee people to your site. An example would be the box you see at the right of the screen whenever you search in Google.

Free marketing has a large amount of venues, so I will only provide a quick glimpse at some. You can use online article directories, forums posts, blogs, your own website, etc. With proper research, you can find many ways to advertise for free.

Grass roots marketing has to be the most fun and rewarding version. With GRM, your creativity is your limit. You can use tools such as business cards, fliers posted in public places, classified ads, yard signs, etc. Word of mouth is a classic example of a grass roots marketing campaign.

You may not make $5000 a week at first or even ever, but you can easily increase your current income by a couple hundred dollars a month with very little effort. There is a fortune to made by those that are willing to take it. Are you willing to take your share?
