In many cases people try to go for the most popular or most lucrative niches however that is short term thinking that can hurt you in the long run.

The min point is that when it comes down to doing the mundane and tedious work that is often required in internet marketing you will be less likely to do so when you are working in a topic that you either don’t like or don’t know enough about. This can easily be avoided if you just stick with what makes you passionate and it will reflect in your work ethic and your customers will react as well.

Once you have chosen your niche you want to enter the market with a specific type of site. The site you chose will reflect your entire business model so it’s important to think about how you want to pursue this option. When a wealthy affiliate reviews their business many will tell you that if they could start all over there would be plenty of things that they wished they did differently. So make sure to think about this as there are many routes you can take.

For instance you can start a blog which traditionally has a more personal touch to it, meaning you would make posts about your experience with whatever niche you chose. You then have a variety of ways to monetize that site either through selling related products or putting Adsense on your site. Another common practice of a wealthy affiliate is to make a straight forward ecommerce website. This is generally a more difficult task as your site needs to be more technical and you need to know how to get many back links since those sites lack content which hurts ranking potential.

Overall regardless of which approach you choose if you like what you are promoting or writing about then it will show in your work and you will quickly build a following in that niche leading to easier sales or increased ad driven revenue.
