How To Be Your Own Boss

Reasons to start your own business and create a Residual Income.
Ever since I was a young adult, I have never liked the idea of working for someone else. I didn’t quite know what I wanted to do, nor did I know how I would go about bringing in an income for myself, but I always wanted the opportunity to be a free spirit. What I mean by free spirit is a person that does not have to be any place by a certain time on a regular basis; which usually means a job. A person that pretty much goes where they want, when they want, and to have enough money to do what I want. Okay, let me wake up from that dream.

As I grew and matured, I began to put all my thoughts and actions together and realized that I had to do something in order to gain an adequate income. But I also learned that I had an opportunity to be my own boss. I had the opportunity to start my own business. When I realized this, then I began thinking, what would I do? What will I sell? I like this concept and idea, now how do I go about getting as close as I can to my dream.

With the current economic crisis, there are more reasons now than ever to start your own business. But, before now, the reasons many did it was mainly because they were like me. They had a dream and a strong desire just like I did. When we go to work everyday, outside of the home, we are working for someone else’s dream. We are making someone else rich. You are also under someone else’s control. They control how much time you spend with yourself and your family, how much you will eat, what type of clothes you wear, what type, if any, vacation you will take, what type of car you will drive. It goes on and on. The way they determine this is by the amount of money they decide to pay you.

When you start your own business, you are in control of your financial future. Yes, in the beginning it is hard work. It’s not all peaches and cream. You will have to work hard, usually for the first 2-4 years before you are in "good" profit. But keep in mind you are working towards your own dreams and visions. There’s a little goal that says if you are not in "good" profit within the first 2-4 years, perhaps this business is not working for you. In fact, the IRS even uses the 2-4 year guide to determine if your business is profitable.

When you own your own business, you are the boss. You decide how many hours you will put in and when you will vacation. You can even set a goal of how much money you want to make within a certain time frame. Starting your own business brings you huge Tax Breaks. You can vacation and use it as a business expense. You can hire your kids and pay them as early as 7 years old. With the money you would pay them, you can open a special account to use towards college expenses. Also, with the money you pay your children, is tax deductible. Your children can make up to $5,000 per year tax free. Part of your tax breaks is gas reimbursement and reimbursement on anything purchased on behalf of your business.

Starting your own business is very challenging and rewarding. Your business is recession free. The government has no control over your financial future. My business is Network Marketing. Marketing my business is my business. I spend countless hours of time meeting new people and speaking to people regularly. I enjoy what I do. My schedule is my own. I set my own calendar. So if I need to be at an event or function for my children, husband or family, I can schedule myself there.

While starting your own business, being your own boss, you will develop financial security. Perhaps you want to stay at home and raise your own children; start your own business. Have you seen the cost of daycare lately? Perhaps you work outside the home and you need to bring in an extra income; start your own business. Gas prices too high; start your own business. Gas prices are down a now, but rest assured they will rise again. Commute to work is too expensive; start your own business.

You get my point. You can probably think of many reasons to start your own business. Your next decision to make is what will you do? What is your niche? I get paid Residual Income. Not all, but many Network Marketing businesses offer Residual Income. Residual Income is doing something once and being paid for it over and over again, month after month. So I could actually take vacation and still get paid. For more information on Residual Income, please watch this short video. The video is only 13 minutes long and to show you my appreciation for viewing it, you will receive a free gift, valued at $100.00. Residual Income is a great reason to start your own business and become your own boss.
