How Old is the Earth

Talk origins. Talk Science. Welcome to the world of bizarre affinities. Today, you'll figure out how old is the earth estimated to be. Details about the Earth age timeline will boggle your mind. Definitely not a lame guess. Trust me.
Only if I could give you a copy of the birth certificate of this exquisite planet called Earth. And if today, you found yourself questioning the existence of the planet you have been successfully and safely dwelling in, it shan't surprise you. The age of Earth has been a topic of discourse for long-lost civilizations. Yet, if you were to ask me about the exact date of Earth's formation, I'd smirk, and say, did we even have a calendar during that time, for god sake? Theories on when and how the Earth was formed might just leave you perplexed with the science that trails them. However, if not a precise set of digits clustered together, there does exist some evidence to confirm the approximate age of our mother Earth. This whips me up to jot down two theories today; earth age timeline according to the holy Bible, and according to science. Segmenting these sections respectively, here I attempt to answer, how old is the Earth.

According to the Bible

The Earth is about 6000 years old. Let God's people rejoice in Him who made them. (Psalm 149:2)

The Biblical allusions have an interesting theory of acknowledging the age of our planet Earth. According to Christians' belief, the existence of Earth relates itself to Adam, the first man. However, some historians just refuse to believe it. While Luke, evangelist and historian, accounts Adam as the first man, we turn the pages of history, and go back to the time of Creation, 6000 years ago. Adam, as people know, was created a week post the existence of earth. The holy Bible states that Adam lived approximately 6000 years ago, and so, the world is also 6000 years old. However, not many historians seem to support this timeline that the Bible has put forth. But then, they have no evidence to prove it wrong too, as the holy Bible claims many wizardly personalities such as King David, Enoch, Abraham, and even Jesus Christ as real. Certainly, there wouldn't be a single historian to doubt the existence of any of them, would there be?

According to Science

A mystery, almost solved. Where belief fails, science egresses. According to scientists, based on the evidences from the radiometric age dating of meteors and meteorite material, the age of the Earth is 4.54 billion years. According to them, when they analyzed uranium-rich minerals, the measurements of lead in it delineated that some existed in excess well before a billion years. What's more, if the mass and luminosity of the Sun were to be compared with the multitudes of stars, the scientists concluded that it is not certain for the solar system to be older than those rock pieces. The oldest known solids within those meteorite materials are aged 4.567 billion years, thereby, confirming the age of the Earth to some extent. All in all, because the oldest rocks on the surface of the Earth possess different ages, it is somewhat difficult to give a precise number figure to Earth's age. Well, you can't expect science to be an answer to everything, or can you?

Those just curious to know the age of the Earth, now have an answer in the form of this interesting fact about Earth. However, those who are a bit too punctilious about the hidden Earth mysteries and facts, need to do a little bit of research, and come back here to shed light on the age of existence. For now, that was my bit of research on the eon of this luminous blue entity, with subsistence still under scrutiny.
