Hobbes: First your heart falls into your stomach and splashes your innards. All the moisture makes you sweat profusely. The condensation shorts the circuits to your brain. And you get all woozy. When your brain burns out all together your mouth disengages and you babble like a cretin until she leaves.
Calvin: THAT'S LOVE?!?
Hobbes: Medically speaking.
Calvin: Heck, that happened to me once. But I figured it was COOTIES!!

Well...that's love for the much-loved duo Calvin & Hobbes. But how do you know you're in love? You must have spent hours wondering, 'he loves me, he loves me not', without getting to an answer. His sight makes you lose your senses and his smell makes you go wild. This is more than infatuation, but you don't know whether it's love. I can absolutely relate to your state of mind, which is why, I will try to answer the eternal question, 'how do you know you are in love?'

Endless Thoughts
Your every waking thought is of him. Everything you do, all through the day, reminds you of him and you fall asleep thinking of him. He just fills your every thought. But you are still stuck at how do you know you're in love? You want to share all your moments with him and make him a part of everything that you do. You can't help but think about his perspective on the situations you come across. Every minute is taxing, when you are away from the person you can't stop thinking about. No matter how dull or how exciting the moment is, you just want it to be with the person, who's caught up in all your thoughts. So, when you can't get him out of your head, then it is a signal, that you are in love. But you are still not sure and stuck at how do you know you're in love?

Sweet Everything
You want to go out of your way to be with him, do things for him and make him happy. You want to wear the colors that he likes, cook for him, help him out in his work and do every little thing that will make you an important part of his life. You love waiting for his phone call at ungodly hours and despite hectic schedule you can't fall asleep without talking to him, so you stay up after hours. You are ready to drive half way across the state, just to see him for dinner and wish him good night. You want to count every twinkling star with him and you desperately wish, that there was some inscrutable mechanism to freeze time. Doing all these sweet things are not sweet nothings, but everything that affirm you are in love with someone.

Love Yourself More
How do you know you are in love with someone? Well...if you are in love, you will fall in love with yourself all over again. I mean, you will spend those extra hours in front of the mirror to look your best, trips to beauty parlor will be more frequent, you will be more conscious about the way you carry yourself and you will try to be the best that you can for the one you love. We always strive to give the best that we can to those we love unconditionally and endlessly. Loving yourself more than ever and always making a deliberate effort to put the best foot forward are sure signs that you are in love, that's above lust and a mere school crush.

There may be a 'how do you know you are in love quiz', however, there isn't a formula for how to know you are in love. Love, is just like any other emotion and there are signs of being in love that you can identify. It hits you in the face and you still don't see it. When you realize, you are in love, you are so used to its symptoms, that it's impossible to go back. You simply love it when your heart skips a beat and a warm fuzzy feeling rises inside you, every time, you hear yourself say, 'I love you' and that's how you answer the question, "how do you know you're in love?".
