How Do We Know?

How do we know
To love, to give, to live
Perhaps it comes from the soul

How do we now
What love is
And when it is eternal
Are we born with the knowledge
Or does it come from the heart

How do we know
To give of ourselves to others
To be kind to animals
To do more right than wrong
Perhaps this need to do so
Makes us strong
And love give us the courage to go on
