How Do I Do Italic Writing In My Stories?

Hi

When I use Microsoft word to write my chapters everything shows up; italic writing, bold writing, color and so on.

But when I paste it onto the article submitter box everything disappears and its just normal plain writing.

HOW do I make italic writing show up because I know people can do it cuz I have seen it in stories on buzzle.

Please help me if you know, write it in the comments.
