How Could He Let This Happen?
For those of us who have been torn to shreds, and feel they were the cause of a loved ones death, may we all find some peace one day.
We count the years, we embrace the gloom. we think it will end the sorrow.
We go over it timelessly asking ourselves why, what if?
How could god do this? We blame him, we shun him, we look at that reason to hate him.
Our tears do not cleanse it, our eyes hurt from spilling it.
We count the years and life goes by, yet it stands still in our broken hearts,
We ask ourselves over and over how god could have done this.
We poison ourselves with pain, and guilt,
We punish ourselves in ways we don’t even see, it comes back to haunt us, to torture us, to redeem its evil grasp on our soul’
