This country will be the one that is situated close to the equator, as this is where the temperatures are the maximum.

The hottest recorded temperature on the Earth has been in the country of Libya, in the city of El Azizia, or Al'Aziziyah. On the 13th of September 1922, the temperature recorded here was 57.7 degrees Celsius (or 136 degrees Fahrenheit). There is no record of a temperature higher than this anywhere else on the planet. Even though El Azizia has the distinction of seeing the highest temperature ever, it would be incorrect to say that Libya is the hottest country in the world, as this temperature constantly fluctuates.

To be known as the hottest, a country should have the highest temperature on a consistent basis, and not once every few years. There are many countries that regularly experience a massive rise in the temperature due to their proximity to the equator, but none of these countries can be called the hottest. Since there is a drastic change in temperatures in a country owing to a variety of geographical factors, it is quite hard to accurately pinpoint the hottest nation on Earth.

The average recorded temperature of Ethiopia has consistently been the highest temperature found around the world, and this makes it the hottest country. Ethiopia is a landlocked country in Africa, and it also happens to be the second most populated country on the continent. The average recorded temperature in Ethiopia has been around 34.4 degrees Celsius (or 94 degrees Fahrenheit). Many archaeologists also believe that Ethiopia is the country where the first breed of homo sapiens, or human beings, originated.

This conclusion is satisfactory for most scientific studies, as it is also a fact that places that are extremely hot are not inhabited by humans. Therefore, Ethiopia can be said to be the hottest nation globally where temperatures are recorded. It's possible that there are other places where the temperature rises to higher levels, but there are no reliable records of such places. Also note that this temperature is not the temperature of the surface of the Earth at that specific place, but the temperature of the air that hovers about 5 feet above the surface. The temperature on the surface would be higher than this.

Even other countries on the Southern coasts of Europe like Spain and Portugal show very high average temperatures.

South American countries experience a lot of rainfall so temperatures here constantly keep falling and rising. So it is hard to accurately say which country is the hottest, as at some point of time almost all the countries hit very high temperatures.

Countries in South East Asia are the countries where the highest temperatures are recorded, as they are situated quite close to the Equator in comparison with other Asian countries.
