Easy Hot Crab Dip Recipe
Ingredients
- Cream cheese, softened, 2 packages
- Cheddar cheese, shredded, 2 cups
- Crabmeat, 1 can
- Mayonnaise, 3½ tablespoons
- Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice, 2 tablespoons
- Hot sauce, 2½ teaspoons
- Paprika, for garnish
For making this seafood dip, take a large bowl and whip the softened cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, lemon juice, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce together till they combine properly and make a smooth mixture. Now add the crabmeat to this cheese mixture and incorporate it well. Transfer this cheese and crabmeat mixture to a greased baking dish, and sprinkle the paprika on top. Bake this dish in a preheated oven at 175ºC for about 30 to 45 minutes till the cheese turns bubbly and the top is browned.
Crock Pot Hot Crab Dip Recipe
Ingredients
- Cream cheese, softened, 3 packages
- Crabmeat, drained and flaked, 3 cans
- Fresh cream, 1 cup
- Milk, 1 cup
- Green onions, finely chopped, 1 cup
- Worcestershire sauce, 1½ teaspoons
- Hot sauce, 1 teaspoon
- Prepared horseradish, 1½ teaspoons
Before making this dip recipe, lightly grease a crock pot and keep it aside. Now take a medium-sized bowl and combine the softened cream cheese, fresh cream, green onions, prepared horseradish and Worcestershire sauce with the help of a blender. Add the crabmeat and hot sauce, and blend thoroughly. Transfer the contents of the bowl into the greased crock pot and cook it on high flame for about half an hour till the cheese begins to melt. Add the milk and cook it on a low flame for about 4 to 5 hours. Serve this dip with Melba toast rounds or crackers. Goat cheese can also be used as a substitute, instead of cream cheese for an altogether different flavor.
Hot Crab Dip and Cream Cheese Casserole
Ingredients
- Cream cheese, softened, 2 packages
- Cheddar cheese, shredded, 1 cup
- Velveeta cheese, ½ cup
- Crabmeat, 1 pound
- Milk, ¼ cup
- Sour cream, 1 cup
- Mayonnaise, 1½ tablespoons
- Salad dressing, ½ tablespoon
- Dry mustard, ¼ teaspoon
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1½ tablespoons
- Worcestershire sauce, 2 teaspoons
In a medium-sized bowl, whip together the cream cheese, sour cream, dry mustard, lemon juice, mayonnaise, salad dressing, 3 tablespoons of each Velveeta and Cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce till they form a smooth mixture. Add the crabmeat and fold it into the cheese mixture. Transfer this into a greased casserole and add the remaining cheese on top. Bake this casserole in a preheated oven at 325ºF for about 45 minutes till all the cheese melts and becomes bubbly. Enjoy this casserole with rolls or crusty bread.
