Hopelessness

With you in my eyes
Time doesn't move,
People don't talk
They just stand still.
Nothing seems to deplete
Including my wretchedness.
The sky doesn't get any clearer.
The trees don't get any fuller.
Drops of hopelessness roll to my neck,
I stare at you once more
While pleading to be desensitized.
