Homosexuality

The 21st Century has broke the barriers of sexual orientation. Here love is shared between two individuals, the gender is a trivial matter! Though it is less of a stigma today than it used to be some years back, gay life can still not be easy. Gay life comes with all sorts of social, moral and religious confrontations. Much diversity exists among individuals who identify themselves as homosexuals. While there are some who fit the stereotype of a sexually promiscuous male who cannot maintain a relationship, the vast majority of gay people, female and male, live quiet, normal lives. Many gay people raise children, alone or with partners. Because of the sexist connotation of the word 'homosexual', 'gay' or, for women, 'lesbian', is more politically correct. In recent years, Gay Rights has become an issue in many parts of America, as men and women struggle to be accepted as ordinary citizens. There are various treatment and diversity issues that gays and lesbians are facing. For information on gay rights and homosexuality in general see the articles below.
