Homemade Noodles

Homemade noodles are very easy and convenient to make. Even if they might turn out a little bland, adding cheese and a bit of oregano or chili and veggies can make for a quick gourmet delight. Dishing you out information on making noodles at home.
Olivia was crazy about noodles and she never used to miss out any opportunity to dig into noodles. However, a realization dawned upon her. How to Make Noodles at Home

Ingredients
  • 3 eggs, beaten well
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups flour
Method
Serving #1
Take the eggs, oil, water and salt and then mix all these ingredients well. Follow that up by adding that mixture to a couple of cups of flour and again mix the whole thing.

To the mixture already made, again add one-fourth to half cup of flour. Work the mixture well. What you need to do now is to spread half cup of flour on a surface where you knead any dough. Knead the mixture of flour, eggs, salt, oil and water using the flour spread on the kneading surface. Mix the flour well.

Going from the last step, divide the dough in 3 parts and let it stay for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes roll and thin and let it dry for a minimum of an hour and at the most a couple of hours. After that cut the rolls in thin or wide strips.

Homemade Noodles for Soup

To make noodles for soup, let's continue from where we had left in the basic noodles recipe. So going back a bit, we take it from where the dough was divided into 3. Take a part out of those 3 and roll it in a large and thin rectangle. Thereafter, rather than slicing or making strips of noodles, get hold of a pizza cutter and then simply cut the dough vertically and horizontally. If you find these homemade noodles bland, have a cream sauce to go along with it. Just pour a bit on your noodles along with fresh grated Parmesan (wow! This is so mouth-watering!). The best part about these noodles is that you can freeze these noodles after you cut the strips in a plastic bag or a container. They can stay like that for months. Just take out the strips whenever you need them, put them in boiling water, take them out. Add toppings of herbs and cheese and eat just like that or have them with soup or even brown bread.
