Fun Cookies
Ingredients
Oatmeal (1 cup)
Water (1 cup)
Bran (1 cup)
Salt (1 tablespoon)
Brown Sugar (2 tablespoons)
Molasses (1/2 Cup)
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients together and grease a cookie sheet. Make small-sized balls of the mixture and place it onto the cookie sheet. Bake it for 8 minutes at 350 degrees F. These can be stored in the refrigerator for further use.
Honey Cookies
Ingredients
Dry oatmeal (1/4th cup)
Sweet feed (1 cup)
Apple sauce (2 tablespoons)
Sugar cubes (4)
Cheerios (1 cup)
Brown sugar (a pinch)
Water (1/2 cup)
Honey/molasses (1 tablespoon)
Preparation
Mix the oatmeal with the ½ cup of water. Now, add the sweet feed along with the apple sauce. Blend these ingredients well. Now, add the remaining ingredients and serve!
Fruity Treat Recipe
Ingredients
Apple (1)
Banana (1)
Ice cubes (Handful)
Preparation
Peel and cut the banana and place it in a blender. Add the ice cubes. Blend it well till it turns creamy. Now, you need to cut the top portion of the apple. Then, gently carve out the middle portion of the apple. You need to place the banana mixture inside the apple. The remaining mixture can be poured over the top of the apple.
Oatmeal Bars
Ingredients
Dry oatmeal (2 cups)
Molasses (1 cup)
Grain (3/4th cup)
Bran (3 cups)
Preparation
You need to mix the grain, oats and bran together in a bucket. Add the molasses as well and mix with your hands. Then, place a handful of this mixture on the cookie sheet. Bake it at 375 degrees F for at least ten minutes. You can also cook this mixture in a greased pan. These can be stored to treat your horse during the week.
Muffin Treats
Ingredients
Sweet feed (4 quarts)
Bran (2 cups)
Oats (2 cups)
Raisins (2 cups)
Molasses (1 jar)
Corn syrup (1 jar)
Eggs (5)
Carrots - chopped (5-6)
Apples - chopped (3)
Corn oil (2-3 cups)
Baking powder (2 tablespoons)
Frozen apple juice concentrate (1 can)
Preparation
Add some water in the flour and let the mixture turn a little stiff. Use some oil inside muffin tins and drop the flour mixture into this. (The mixture may rise a little bit.) Now, bake this preparation for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Once done, cool the same on a paper towel. You can cook the mixture on a cooking pan as well. Once cooked, leave these muffins to cool overnight. Cut it into pieces and serve it to your horse!
