Homemade dish soap has many advantages, like it is does not dry the skin out, it works well for people who are allergic to commercial soaps available in the market. Although there are different ways of making dish soap, most of them are quick and easy to make. You will have to either recycle squeeze bottles of commercially available dish soap or you will have to pick up empty plastic bottles with a squeeze cap for easy use. Dish Soap Recipe # 1
To make dish soap in this recipe we will make use of liquid castile soap. It is the most easiest way to make dish soap, as the base of the soap is already made. You will only have to add a few more ingredients to make dish soap as perfectly made as the commercial soap.

Ingredients
  • Liquid Castile Soap 2 cups
  • Essential Oil of your choice a few drops
  • Water ½ cup
Method
  • Warm the ½ cup of water and combine it with liquid castile soap.
  • Add a few drops of essential oils of your choice to get a pleasant scent.
  • Shake the soap well, so that all the ingredients are mixed well together.
  • Store the soap in a squeeze bottle.
  • Before you use the soap, shake it well.
Dish Soap Recipe # 2
Soap flakes are often used to make dish soap, as they make a great base for homemade dish soap. The flakes are gentle and are great for cleaning purposes. They also mix well to form a liquid home cleaner. Soap flakes can be purchased from the stores. Lemon juice or vinegar or both can also be added, to give the soap a grease-cutting element.

Ingredients
  • Soap Flakes 2 cups
  • Warm Water 1 gallon
  • Glycerin 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon Juice ¼ cup
  • Vinegar ¼ cup
  • Essential Oils of your choice a few drops
Method
  • In a large pan, mix soap flakes and water together.
  • Over low heat, warm the mixture as you stir frequently, till the soap is completely dissolved in water.
  • Add glycerin to the soap and mix well.
  • Remove the pan from the heat.
  • Let the soap cool a little, before you add lemon juice and vinegar to the soap.
  • Then add the essential oil drops and mix well.
  • Pour the liquid dish soap into squeeze bottles and remember to shake well before use.
Dish Soap Recipe # 3
You do not have to discard the leftover bits of bar soap. It can very well be used to make liquid soap, which is suitable for dish-washing. With this you will be able to save money. The process may, however, require a little work. The first step you will have to undertake is to chop the soap bar into small pieces. The other alternative is to grate the soap into thin strips.

Ingredients
  • Soap Shavings 2 cups
  • Hot water 3 cups
  • Lemon Juice ¼ cup
Method
  • In a small bucket or mug place the soap shavings.
  • Pour 3 cups of water on the soap shavings and let it sit for several hours, overnight is preferable.
  • In the morning mash the soap shavings until they are smooth.
  • Add another ½ cup to 1 cup of hot water to dilute the consistency and get the desired consistency.
  • Now add lemon juice to the soap and stir well.
  • Pour the soap into squeeze bottle, but do not forget to shake well before use.
When you are making homemade dish soap, it is recommended you add citrus essential oils, such as lime, orange, or lemon to the soap. You can also add some eucalyptus and peppermint oils as well, as they help fight and clean the germs.
