Homeless
This poem is by a person special to me. Read and be inspired.
What about the homeless?
Living on the Street
Without a Pillow or a Sheet
The Cold goes to their bones
All they need is a Home
Sometimes the only clothes they Own
Are the clothes on their Backs
Sometimes everything they own
Is in a Back Pack
What about the Homeless?
Sometimes the only ones they greet
Are the dogs on the Street
Sometimes they have to share what they eat
Our lady Liberty stands for freedom
Our politicians need to act and that's a fact
The cop on the beat
Say they have to leave the street
Cause they will be back tomorrow
To patrol their beat
What about the Homeless?
Listen to the people Crying!
Listen to the people Dying!
Listen to the people Moaning!
Listen to the People Groaning!
What about the Homeless?
Living on the Street
Without a Pillow or a Sheet
The Cold goes to their bones
All they need is a Home
Sometimes the only clothes they Own
Are the clothes on their Backs
Sometimes everything they own
Is in a Back Pack
What about the Homeless?
Sometimes the only ones they greet
Are the dogs on the Street
Sometimes they have to share what they eat
Our lady Liberty stands for freedom
Our politicians need to act and that's a fact
The cop on the beat
Say they have to leave the street
Cause they will be back tomorrow
To patrol their beat
What about the Homeless?
Listen to the people Crying!
Listen to the people Dying!
Listen to the people Moaning!
Listen to the People Groaning!
What about the Homeless?
