Homeless People

Homelessness can be described as the state of being without any shelter to spend the night or even the days for that matter. There are thousands of homeless people all across the world in developed as well as developing countries who are being exploited day and night as a price of being without homes. They are people who cannot afford to have a shelter or people who do not have sanity enough to think about one. Some of them run away from homes because of sexual exploitation or are lured out of their homes by throwing either money or love as the bait and once they are out of their cozy homes the unkind world makes sure that they never get back their homes or even if they get one it would not be like a "home".

The state of being "homeless" is defined in various was because definitions of problems are much more important than solutions. So here are few definitions of "homeless people" which are as follows:

• They are people who use public or private shelters as their accommodation, which might be a welfare house or a house for the mentally unwell people.
• They are also defined as people who do not have a fixed shelter to spend the night in.

What is the reason behind people becoming homeless?

Homelessness can be synonymous to poverty inmost of the cases. If not the same meaning yet they do have strong relationship, one leads to the other. The population of the world is increasing everyday; number of industries and number of homes are also increasing to a considerable extent but are the numbers equal. Neither are the numbers equal nor is there equal distribution of wealth so when one family has three homes to live in, the other family does not have even one. Let us not neglec6t that group of people who choose homelessness and they have been doing that across tome and generations. These people are called "gypsies" who wander about fro place-to-place and do not have a fixed home. So even if we take these people into account yet there remains a good number of people who are homeless and deprived and are being subjected to numerous exploitations. Here we would try to find out what are the reasons that make people homeless and would keep doing so besides poverty.

There are people who come out of foster care homes and there is not one but many who come out of these to save themselves form sexual and physical exploitation but once they come out of their homes they still face the kind of fate. Then there are some who become drug or alcohol addicts and lose the basic sanity of where they are where they need to go. There are people who come out of prisons and do not have place to stay since employment becomes a real issue as no one wants to employ a person who has criminal records. Then there are wars that are snatching homes from innocent people everyday, either they are victims of evacuation or their properties have been destroyed by military attacks.

What are the rights and facilities that have provided for the homeless people?

After the Second World War, United Nations made some very distinct laws wherein the fundamental human right was established and taken care of beyond the borders and political rights. It was established that if a nation fails to provide adequately for its citizens, another country can intervene since there have been major debates on how the socio-economic condition of a country changes as and how the difference between the rich and the poor decreases or vice versa. As for facilities there are organizations that do care for the sick and the poor and are putting in efforts to provide home for the homeless but such initiatives are taken by less number of people and the everyday the number of homeless people is increasing.
