Going to the gym may not be possible for everyone of us and hence, some of us prefer working out at home with the help of weights like dumbbells or barbells. But, not all can afford buying these weights and hence, look for simple exercises without weights. Here are some exercises that you can for you.

Push Ups
Push ups are the best home workouts without weights for men that help to tone the biceps, chest, shoulders, abdominal muscles and lower back. To perform basic push ups, get into the starting position of push up by balancing your body weight on your toes and palms. Keep your legs straight, palms beneath your shoulders near the chest and face towards the floor. Now, raise your body until your arms are straight. After that lower your body, until your chest touches the floor. Once you master the basic push ups, you can try push up variations, which include, plyometric push ups, inclined push ups, one hand push ups, etc.

Squats
Squats are the best exercises to burn the extra fat stored in your abdominal region. The muscles that are targeted by performing squats are, quadriceps, hamstrings, lower abdomen and glutes. Thus, squats work on both upper and lower body muscles. To perform simple squats without weights, stand straight in an upright position, with your hands stretched in forward direction. Keep a shoulder width distance between your feet. Now, squat down by keeping your back straight. Squat down until your thighs are parallel to the floor. While bending your knees, ensure that they do not bend beyond your toes. Once your thighs are parallel to the floor, slowly push yourself up and get back to starting position.

Step Ups
To carry out easy workouts at home without weights, perform step up exercises wherein you will require a small bench or a platform on which you can step up and down. Place the step or the platform in front of you and step up with your left leg by applying a force on the heel of the left leg to lift up your right leg. Get back to the starting position by landing on the right leg. Do a few more repetitions, and repeat the steps for the other leg.

Crunches
Crunches are the most effective exercises for women, which help to lose love handles. There are various types of crunches and you can start with basic crunch exercise. Lie down on the floor on your back, place your hands behind your head and keep your feet flat on the floor. Now, raise your upper body and move towards your knees. Try to raise your torso as much as possible and slowly get back to the original position. Initially perform the crunches for 10 counts and gradually increase the count.

Alternate Elbow Touch
Alternate elbow touch is considered as one of the most effective abdominal exercises. To perform this exercise, lie down on your back, on an exercise mat or on the floor. Now, place your hands behind your head and keep your legs straight. Raise your left leg and bring a right angle bend your left leg. Raise your upper body and try to touch your left knee with your right elbow. Meanwhile, straighten your right leg completely. Then gently get back to the original position and repeat the same for the other side. Do this alternately, in a repetitive manner.
