Home Tanning Beds
Home tanning beds are increasingly becoming popular among people because they are safe, economical and enhance the beauty of your room. People prefer tanning in residential tanning beds rather than going to tanning salons. Know more...
What are Home Tanning Beds?
Tanning beds are electronic devices that emit ultraviolet radiation (UVA and UVB rays), that help in tanning the body by providing a cosmetic tan. These beds consist of fluorescent lamps that have phosphor blends and are designed such that they emit UV spectrum similar to that of the Sun. In others words, they provide artificial sunlight. There are about 12 to 28,1000 watt lamps in tanning beds found in salons. But the number may increase or decrease accordingly, whether the beds are residential, commercial, low pressure or high pressure beds. Personal tanning beds can be used anytime and are called home tanning beds or residential tanning beds.
Advantages and Care
Generally, people prefer high pressure tanning beds for homes, because they are safer than low pressure tanning beds, which emit more UVA rays than UVB rays. UVB rays are harmful and are responsible for skin problems and burns. Also, a tanning bed at home provides private tanning session at home, it’s available 24x7, is very economical and easy to use. Usually, people don’t have to worry about using a tanning bed however, maintenance of tanning beds, is an important factor that needs to be taken care of. It requires regular clean ups (once a month) which involve cleaning the lamps, ballast tray, cooling fans, etc. An unclean bed may hinder the UV rays, thus affecting the efficiency of the tanning bed.
Tanning Bed Tips
- Start slowly.
- Try covering the skin that has never been exposed, for half the time.
- Look for a bed that emits not more than 2% UVB rays.
- Always wear a protective sunglass to protect eyes from long-term injuries.
- Put on a lip balm or sunscreen before tanning, or else, your lips may suffer burns.
- Before the tanning session, moisturize your skin.
- Don’t take shower after the tanning sessions. However, you may take a pre-tanning session shower.
You don’t have to worry about the payment as most residential distributors offer many attractive schemes, for example, paying monthly fees instead of the whole payment. This way you can pay the cost over few years and save a lot of money in the long run.
