#1: Wash-rub therapy
First thing to do when your dog is infected by mange is to bathe the dog thoroughly. Washing and rubbing the dog will help remove germs and mange bites. Also wash and clean the area where your dog sleeps to avoid further infection.
#2: Borax and hydrogen peroxide
This is one of the most effective mange home remedies. Add two tablespoons of borax to one per cent hydrogen peroxide. One of the best home remedies for treating mange in dogs is to create a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution with water and Borax. Allow the mixture to dissolve and mix well. Use this once a week for washing your dog. Don't wipe your dog immediately after bathing, it will be more effective when it is left to dry on the skin. Remember use borax and not boric acid, they are not similar.
#3: Oil therapy
The oils given below are found to be extremely beneficial in mange. The anti-bacterial properties of some of these oils help to get rid of the mites. Some of these oils are found to be extremely beneficial as home remedies for dogs with fleas. The difference between dog fleas and mites is that fleas are on outer surface of the skin whereas mites are deep beneath the skin.
Mixture of oils
You can use this home remedy for mange, it works! Add ten parts of almond oil, to one part of lavender oil and neem oil each. Mix it well, let it dissolve. Now apply this mixture to the infected areas twice a day, it will help to get rid of those killer mites.
Garlic oil and Tea tree oil
Diluting garlic oil in water and applying it on affected areas is also helpful. Tea tree oil and shampoo is found to be one of the effective mange home remedies.
Cooking oil

#4: Lemon or yogurt
Softly rubbing lemon slices over the affected skin is an effective mange home remedy. You can also leave some lemon slices in hot water overnight and then apply this mixture over the affected parts. Washing the affected area especially inside the ears with yogurt helps to cure mange infections. Use no more than two tablespoons.
#5: Diet
It is observed that mostly very young or very old dogs are affected by mange which is due to their weak immune system. Strong immune system can also help reduce various dog illnesses. For improved resistance of your dog it is important that it has a good healthy diet. Along with good-quality vitamin supplements and other dog food, even dark leafy vegetables, fruits like apple and bananas are also beneficial.
