Home Remedies to Cure Dark Circles

Cucumber Juice or Slices: Cucumber has been an age-old home remedy to reduce dark circles. You can either use cucumber juice or just the cucumber slices. Prepare the juice of cucumber, take two cotton pads and swab it into this juice and place them over your eyes for 15 to 20 minutes. Else you can use cucumber slices and keep them over your eyes for 15 to 20 minutes. Using cucumber will not only lighten the dark circle but will also give soothing and refreshing feeling to your eyes.

Almond Oil Massage: Almond oil massage in one more useful home remedy for dark circles. Massage you eyes with almond oil before going to bed for at least 10 minutes. You should do this on daily basis and you will find the results very soon. You can also massage with a mixture of almond oil and honey.

Dark Circle Removal Recipe: To prepare this recipe you will require 3 to 4 drops of lemon juice, pinch of turmeric powder, one teaspoon of tomato juice and some white flour to prepare paste from the mixture. First put all the ingredients in a small bowl and mash them together. Prepare a thick paste and apply it under your eyes. Leave the paste to remain under the eyes for 15 minutes and then wash it. This is an effective remedy for dark circles and puffy eyes.

Tea Bags: Tea bags are considered as very effective in treating dark circles. All you need to do is place the used cool tea bags over the dark circles. See that the tea bags are not too moist, else the tea can go into your eyes. Place the tea bags for at least 10 - 15 minutes on daily basis.

Other Home Remedies
  • Crush mint leaves and apply them under the eyes for at least 20 minutes daily.
  • Dip cotton pads in rose water and place them for 10 minutes.
  • Increase intake of vitamin E in your diet.
  • Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water daily.
  • You should sleep for minimum 8 hours daily.
  • Use sunglasses when going out in the sun.
