The following article tells you why pedicure is important and how you can do it at the comfort of your home. So, go through it to learn something about home pedicure.

How to Get a Pedicure Treatment at Home
The first step to get a pedicure at home is to collect all the materials required for it. You need some home pedicure products like a large basin, warm water, disinfectant soap, rose water, essential oil (any of your choice), cuticle pusher, nail paint remover, nail filer and a high-quality moisturizer.
Fill a large basin with lukewarm water. Add a small amount of disinfectant soap solution, 4-5 drops of rose water and 2-3 drops of essential oil to it. Mix all the ingredients well to form lather. Soak your feet into the large basin with the solution prepared in the previous steps for about 10-15 minutes. Placing your feet into warm water is essential as it softens the skin as well as the nails, and thus makes cleaning and removal of dead skin comparatively easy. Take both feet out of water. Take a pumice stone and rub the feet one by one with it. Do this gently and carefully as harsh movements may injure your skin. You may use a steel scrubber for rubbing the skin on heels. Rubbing will remove the upper layer of dead skin.
Put some nail paint remover on the cotton pad and rub it on your nails, in case you are wearing nail paint. Scoop out dirt and other unwanted materials present under the nails, particularly at the corners. Trim the toe-nails with the nail cutter. Remove cuticles from the toes with the cuticle pusher. Round shaped nails are considered best for men while somewhat rectangular shaped nails are considered best for women. So, give shape to your nails accordingly with the help of the nail filer. Wash both your feet with plain water thoroughly. The entire process of home pedicure has removed natural oils and moisture from your skin on the feet. You need to restore the natural balance. Apply a thick layer of moisturizer on your feet. Consider doing it while your feet is still wet. This allows deeper penetration of moisture into the skin. Wear socks for the next 2-3 hours. The socks will prevent the escape of moisture into the atmosphere. This is one of the excellent home pedicure tips. The best effect of pedicure is obtained when you do it before going to bed.
If you wish, you may apply a nail paint of your choice on your nails. Allow the nail polish to dry. There are several home pedicure recipes. Each recipe is meant for treating a particular kind of foot ailment. For an example, adding Neem or Azadirachta indica to the soapy solution is meant to eliminate feet infections.
