Sit in a place where you can comfortably do a manicure and pedicure at home. Keep your hands and legs dipped in warm water for about 20 minutes. Follow the next step.

Exfoliate
Now take a scrub and start rubbing it on your hands followed by legs. Using a natural scrub is a great idea. You can use a scrubbing brush for exfoliating the rough skin of your feet after application of scrub. One of the home pedicure steps is to rub your heels and ball of foot using foot scraper followed by rubbing with a pumice stone. Again dip legs and hands in warm water and clean off the scrub.

Shape and Buff
Using a nail filer to give the desired shape to your finger nails and toe nails. This is one of the important home manicure steps so as to ensure that all nails are of same size and shape. Use a nail cutter if required. Toe nails can be kept smaller. With a nail buffer, make the nail surface even. Move it back and forth horizontally on each and every nail. Clean the dust on nails collected after rubbing them with the nail buffer.

Nourish and Clean
Now apply cuticle cream on your nails. Cover all of them with small cotton balls. After 10 minutes, remove the cotton balls covering your fingernails and toenails. Now using an orange stick to remove the dirt collected in corners and below the nails. Push back the cuticles with a cuticle pusher or orange stick. One of the home manicure instructions is to push the cuticle slowly and carefully so as to not cause any injury.

Beautify
Dry your nails and clean them with a damp towel. Now here's the fun part of a manicure and pedicure. Place medium-sized cotton balls between the toes. Start applying the base coat on toenails. Apply it over fingernails as well. Let it dry and grace your nails with a colored nail polish. Make sure you apply slowly and have a plain finish. When it dries off, apply the next coat of nail polish. Finish with application of top coat for a long-lasting look. Once the nails are completely dry, massage your hands and nails with a deep moisturizing cream. No need to wash it off.

Make sure you wash off all the pedicure and manicure tools before keeping them back. You can also opt for nail art for a stylish look. French nail art is quite popular these days.
