Home and Garden Parties
Parties need not always be at luxurious and princely places. You can have a great party at your own home or garden. Here are some ideas for parties you can arrange at your home or garden...

Home Parties
Family or friends reunions, birthdays and business parties are more fun when they are arranged at your home. The cozy atmosphere of the house perfectly fits with any theme you choose for the party. For reunions you can have entertaining party games such as sudoku contest, trivia games, etc. or you can ask questions about literature or soccer. Music should be an integral part of your party. Since it is a party for family members and friends, so for the party food you can ask everyone to get something (a potluck party). One great idea is to hold a contest of recipes. For example, you can hold a sundae contest where you can provide the ice-cream and the guests will get their own toppings. This will increase the variation in the menu.
The situation is quite different in case of business parties. The main aim of such parties is to increase the purchase and popularity of the products. If your products include flowers or artifacts, you can include them in the decoration. You can have a 'Makeover' theme for make-up and skin-care related products. If you want to demonstrate clothing, you can have a fashion show. A baking contest can be a good idea to display your new range of cook-ware. If possible get a sales agent to provide all information about your products. Keep something light and simple for the refreshments. Remember, the party should be entertaining and should be given more importance than the publicity of your product.
Garden Parties
You don't need a lavish backyard with scenic trees to host a garden party. You can host your party in a local garden, a patio or even a small backyard will do. You can arrange all types of parties in your garden, such as tea party, graduation party, birthday party, spring Easter party, bridal shower, etc.
If it is an outdoor party, the obvious decorations will be fresh flowers. If you are planning for a graduation party then you can use college posters, balloons of school colors, etc. for decoration purposes. You can even have a table with collage of all your images since childhood. Graduation cake should be on the top of your dessert list.
For a tea party, don't keep elaborate decorations. Some flowers with a bowl of fresh fruits is enough. To bring in a variation to the very obvious tea, in your tea party, you can use different types of herbal and green teas. Keep the menu simple, considering the fact, that a tea party doesn't last longer than 2 hrs. You can have small sandwiches with different flavors and some bakery products. For innovation, you can have the invitation cards in the shape of teapot.
If you are planning for an Easter party, the right time to hold the party should be the evening hours. For decoration you can use hurricane lamps. Use innovative ideas to spice up the event, like gift exchange games, treasure hunt games (in which the treasure can be glowing easter eggs).
While planning home or garden parties, be prepared for the worst. For example, when organizing a garden party, make arrangements that can help you in the event of a rainfall. You can have refreshments served under a canopy. You can arrange small homemade gifts as a token of your gratitude.
