Acne, also known as acne vulgaris, is a common skin disease in humans, which is characterized by areas of skin which have a number of non-inflammatory follicular papules, nodules, pustules from mild to severe form. Acne lesions are commonly called pimples, spots, zits, blemishes, etc. This condition normally affects the areas of skin which has the densest population of sebaceous follicles. The areas of the body which are commonly affected by acne is the face, upper part of the chest and the back. Acne may be caused due to overworking hormonal condition as well. There are a number of home acne treatments. We will see the ones, which can be easily prepared and the ingredients are available all the time at home.
  • Oatmeal - Yogurt: Mix one tablespoon of oatmeal with about 1 ½ tablespoons of yogurt. Apply the paste and leave it to dry. After the paste dries off, wash it off with lukewarm water and pat dry.
  • Aloe Vera: Aloe vera is one of the best home acne treatment, which works. Apply aloe vera gel to the affected apart and wash it after some time. Alternatively, if you have aloe vera plant at home, you can also apply aloe vera pulp.
  • Honey - Cinnamon: This is a simple acne cures at home, which will give you instant results. Mix honey and cinnamon powder together and place the paste before going to bed. Wash your face with lukewarm water the next day in the morning.
  • Sugar: Mix white sugar and brown sugar in the proportion 1:2. Wet it and apply it on the affected area. This is a greathomemade acne treatment.
  • Mint: One of the natural acne cures is mint juice. Extract fresh mint juice everyday and apply it every night to cure acne. Wash it the next morning. You will have to repeat this remedy for a few days to see results.
  • Garlic: Not all of us will like this remedy, but you will want to try out the remedy nevertheless. Rub fresh broken garlic piece on the affected area. It may smell for sometime, but it is a very effective antiseptic property, which will help in drying out acne.
  • Lavender Oil: Application of lavender oil on acne affected area will help you to get rid of acne fast.
  • Egg White: Apply some egg white on the acne and leave it on the skin for 20 to 25 minutes. Wash it with lukewarm water and pat dry your skin.
  • Lemon Juice - Rose Water: Mix lemon juice and rose water in equal quantities. Apply the mixture on the skin and let it sit for at least 30 to 40 minutes. Wash you face with warm water.
  • Turmeric Powder - Mint: A paste made out of turmeric powder and mint can be applied on the skin. Leave it on the skin for about 30 to 40 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water. This remedy will help you in natural acne control.
  • Baking Soda: Make a paste with baking soda and water. Apply it on the affected area at night and wash in the morning.
Along with these acne treatments that work, there are some other tips, which will help you to fight your batter against acne successfully. Of all the acne treatments that work, according to me keeping your system clean with water is the best acne treatment. Drinking lot of water will aid in natural detox and all the impurities will be thrown out of the body. In a number of cases acne is caused due to a lot of stress. If you have been stressed out for any reasons, it can because of an acne outburst. You will have to take measures to reduce your stress levels. Taking plenty of rest is one of the best method to reduce stress.
