His Millionth But First Girl - Chapter 9
He's a jerk. He's an arrogant guy. He's that person who wraps helpless girls around his finger. So, there's no way on earth that I will fall for him, or at least that's what I wish for.
Chapter 9 - And He Plays Piano
"What the hell, is it really true?!" Madie said while shaking me. We just got to school when suddenly I was literally trapped by Jace and Madie asking me if I am really in a relationship with Aiden. Because of the incident in the cafeteria, all the people in school started to buy the lies that the jerk blurted out. And here I am in an uncomfortable situation wherein I have to shove what they just heard.
"You've been dating my awful brother all along that you never even told me?! How-" She seems hurt now.
"Friends really do come and go." Jace looked at us amused.
I sighed and scratched my neck lightly, "Believe it or not, the whole thing between me and Aiden are all lies. He just made it up to mess with me. So, relax, there's completely nothing to worry about." I reassured them.
"I'm impressed by your strong personality. For the record, you're the first girl who has rejected Aiden. He used to be bored by their easiness but I think with you, he will be challenged than ever."
Madie tapped me in the shoulder and in fairness, she's calm now. "Whoo, that was close. But listen, don't let yourself be victimized by Aiden because as you can see, guys..." She looks at Jace, "They don't stay too much."
Jace just narrowed his eyes, "I get the message but I don't seem to care at all." He spread his arms dramatically and rolled his eyes. He took one last glance, smiled then left.
"You know P, you should as well tell them what you've told me. I think they're starting to hate you." She looks around suspiciously.
"Nah, I don't care what they think. Let them do and say whatever they want as long as I'm not in the mood to punch them in the face." I fixed my violet scarf, my face expressionless. "And where were you for the past days? You haven't told me yet."
She shivered as if recalling whatever she's experienced. "Don't you ask, father brought me to this place wherein there's no CP signal that's why I wasn't able to contact you. Pretty much it's a lone place. Tsk."
"Well, life's rude sometimes." Madie and I were walking towards our class with everyone staring at us like freaks. Well, hot freaks, should I say.
We meet Aron in the corridor heading also to our first class. "Oh, so is there any progress between you two while I'm gone?"
"Madie." I whispered to her. Next thing I knew I am holding Aron's hand. Well, he looks okay with it, we're now friends after all. Madie saw it also but said nothing about it.
We are near our classroom when someone kissed my cheek that made me jump. It's very warm and soft if I could just - wait! I turned around and there, him again. Madie and also Aron are just shocked as I am.
"Eee, who told you to do that?!" I said while rubbing my cheek.
"Just saying hi to my girl, wouldn't it be that nice?" He said while grabbing my waist to pull me into a hug while locking eyes with Aron. That made me shiver and blush for there are so many people around and I'm just as surprised by Aiden's actions.
"For the millionth time, Aiden, I'm not your girl!" I shouted so that all of them can hear. Okay, I should push him away now, but his scent just weakens my will to do so.
"Yes you are. And you can't just flirt with other guys. If I don't know any better I should've punched him right now." His voice is soothing but I can tell that deep down he's pissed. Why would he, we are never together after all.
"Paige, I better go, see you in class." Aron said then turned away.
Madie placed her hands to her hips, "Not together, eh? How could you explain that?" She said, raising her eyebrow.
I managed to move away from Aiden, "I swear, we are not. Let's go, we have responsibilities to attend to." I grabbed Madie away to catch up with Aron.
I never looked back because I know that if I did, Aiden will just think that I'm interested in him, which I'm not, I guess.
Hours pass by and I was going to the library to scan some books for my homework while Madie is having a meeting with the Student Body Organization. As I approach the library I heard a very ear-catching sound coming from the music room. It's very peaceful and relaxing that I turned my heel and went straight to where the sound comes from. I opened the door and was greeted by the sight of Aron sitting beside the piano, playing it.
"Chopin Op. 9 No. 2, that's what they call it." He said while turning to me. Oh, he noticed me right away.
I clapped my hands and sit beside him. "Classic, I never knew."
He played some notes and stopped, "There are so many things that you don't know about me." Aron smiled at me and I turned away. "Well, you're amazing. When did you start playing?"
He continues to play notes while talking, "Pretty much, when I was seven. My mom taught me before she..."
I looked at him wearily, "I'm sorry to hear that."
"No, it's okay. I've moved on. You know, she's taught me so much that's why I won't forget her." Mentioning that, I can tell that he's recalling his past experiences with his mom and it made my heart ache at the same time made me glad of how he value everything around him. To change the atmosphere I messed his hair which he didn't like much.
"What's the big idea?" He told me putting my hand away from his head.
"Come on, play some more. Something that's not that solemn."
He smirked at me then played a couple of keys which made me realize that he's playing 'Make it mine' by Jason Mraz. I begin singing along to him.
"I don't wanna wake before
The dream is over
I'm gonna make it mine
Yes I... I'll own it
I'm gonna make it mine
Yes I'll make it all mine."
I sang the melody while he sang as the second voice.
"And timing's everything
And this time there's plenty
I am balancing
Careful and steady
And reveling in energy that everyone's emitting

No I wanna celebrate the whole world

Actually, he has a very great voice so I punched him lightly in the shoulder. "What?" He asked while ending the song.
"You are unbelievable you have so many talents and totally, you sounded like Chris Allen. I hate you. Where did you get that?" I joked.
"Well, I guess I'm not aware of that."
Then I was startled when Prof. Spencer walked in, our music teacher. "Will you lovebirds go find somewhere else to continue that? We're going to use this room." Then I saw freshmen enter the room and that's when we both blushed.
Walking out of the music room, we both laugh at how we looked back there. "Oh, you blushed like tomatoes, I saw that. " He said while I bumped his shoulder.
"No I didn't."
My day turned out great actually and really, I love Aron's presence.

Aiden's POV
I went to go to my next and took a seat next to Carl and Geoffrey.
"Hey, man." Giving me a tap on the back. "Mandy is looking at you for almost an hour now. You know she's dying for you to take her home."
I took a glance at a girl who's looking at me dreamily while curling he hair with her finger. Mandy transferred in this school this year and since then she never stop bothering me. Yeah, she looks like a supermodel but I wouldn't take a chance.
"She's so sexy." Geoffrey murmured. "So, what do you say, Aiden?"
I shook my head, "Nah, I'm busy tonight. I can't." Even though I'm not. I was just surprised that I've said that
"Oh, I know it's because of Paige. Never knew you're that loyal to her." He said.
"You never are." Carl added.
"I am now." I looked at them, I think I sounded really serious.
"Good thing you can't make it. Haha, that means I am the one who will take her home tonight." Carl said devilishly. Poor, girl, guess she's stuck to this crazy guy.
After the football practice, I went straight to the locker room and saw Aron, tying his shoelaces.
"So, they call you Alpha." He said while tying shoelaces on the left shoe. I didn't answer so he continued, "The whole team. You really are on top of the game."
"I am, really and soon I'll be graduating and leave this place." I mentioned, unzipping my bag.
He looked away, putting down both of his feet. "Are you really together? You and Paige."
"Why did you ask? Are you interested in her to?" Right now, I'm holding my breath it's like I wanted him to answer me 'no'. But, I shoved it away and tried to calm down.
Why would I care so much. It's just a girl anyway.
"Nothing. I was just asking." He stood up and left. I let out a victory smirk that he isn't after all interested. But there's something to him that shows the other way around.
And I think it wouldn't be good.
