Hilary Duff Slams Nicole Richie

Madden, of Good Charlotte fame, has reportedly been dating Richie for about a month now. The two reportedly began seeing each other after the rocker split from Duff after two and a half years of dating. A source claims that Madden has been calling Duff and trying to see her but she "doesn’t want to talk to him." The source said of Duff, "She can’t believe he’s dating Nicole and thinks she’s a skank."

According to the source, after Richie’s arrest for possible DUI, Duff "asked if Nicole had been coming from Joel’s. She kept saying she never knew Joel at all." It has been reported that Richie had just left Madden’s place before she was spotted going the wrong way on the 134 Highway in California. When police arrived on the scene Richie was parked in the carpool lane and was talking on her cell phone. She later admitted to police that she had smoked marijuana and taken a Vicodin before getting behind the wheel.

Duff and Madden called it quits in November after two and a half years of dating. Last month Madden’s manager, Steve Feinberg, confirmed the split saying, "I can indeed confirm that Joel is single. We are not going to elaborate on Joel’s personal life, but I will say that they have split." No official reason was given for the split but there has been a lot of speculation that is was over their eight-year age difference. Madden is 27 and Duff is only 19.
