Hilary Duff & Joel Madden Split?
It has been rumored that the two and a half-year romance between teen queen Hilary Duff and singer Joel Madden is over.

Madden’s manager, Steve Feinberg, confirmed the split saying, "I can indeed confirm that Joel is single. We are not going to elaborate on Joel’s personal life, but I will say that they have split." The split rumors started circulating last week after Madden played DJ at Enclave, a Chicago club. He reportedly told the club’s patrons that he and Duff had split and a clubgoer said he seemed "pretty upset." It was reported that Duff off the relationship because of their age difference. Madden is 27 and Duff is only 19.
Duff and the Good Charlotte frontman just went public with their relationship last year. In October, Madden said, "I’ve found the perfect person. She'’ confident, she accepts me for my imperfections and she is good to me. I never have to question if she’s going to be there, because I know she will be." Madden co-wrote and co-produced three tracks on the Duff’s greatest hits album Most Wanted.
The two recently faced a scary situation with a stalker. Earlier this month an 18-year old Russian man named Maksim Miakovsky was arrested and charged with making criminal threats and stalking Duff. Miakovsky had reportedly threatened to kill Duff and was also planning to "remove his enemies" and anyone who stood in the way of his "romance" with Duff. Duff and Madden filed for a restraining order against Miakovsky and his roommate David Joseph Klein, 50, in October. Restraining orders were also requested on behalf of Duff’s mother, Susan; sister Haylie; and Madden’s brother Benji.
