HGH Testing: New HGH Blood Test Unveiled

A breakthrough has been achieved in a new method of testing HGH which is believed to make it extremely difficult for athletes who use HGH and get off undetected. Read on to know about this new HGH blood test.
A new testing method for the Human Growth Hormone (HGH) has been developed and is expected to be available within a few weeks or months. It is believed that this test will make it near to impossible for those athletes and sportsmen/women who use HGH for enhancement to get away without being caught. Many experts have opined that this test is fool proof and definitely superior to the existing methods in use.

The current system is known as the isoform test. It scans an individual's blood for synthetic HGH, which is detectable in the body for only 48 hours after use. In this new method, called the biomarkers test, the blood is scanned for chemicals that the body produces after the use of HGH. These chemicals can be detected for up to two weeks in the body. So the window for checking has been increased around 7 times, which makes it quite difficult to evade. Larry Bowers, US Anti-Doping Agency, Lead Scientist said, "Anytime we have more tools, it's a good thing. We view the two tests as working together. One doesn't replace the other, but it certainly gives us a wider window and a greater opportunity for catching people."

The only issue on everyone's mind is that, with this new HGH testing method being so good, the urine-based test on which already lots of money has been spent on research, might not be used as intended. Urine-based tests have been aggressively sought by those associated with baseball and American football. Besides, scientists from Ceres Nanosciences, Virginia, will be closely monitoring the HGH test developments, as they have used grants from USADA for research on the urine-based tests. In fact, Ceres is awaiting more grants to take their research forward. Lance Liotta, Lead Scientist, Ceres HGH Project said, "To move forward after this, we desperately need money. Funding is critical for us. If all the money goes toward the blood test that other people are working on, then they're missing a fantastic opportunity in urine, that they shouldn't dismiss offhand."

So we will have to wait a little while to see if this new HGH test that becomes available soon is so good that a stick is put in the wheel of advanced research on the promising urine-based testing method.
