I just have the most amazing boyfriend in the world, don't I?
"Honey! I am going out with Jack, will you be ok by yourself all day?" shouts my mom from downstairs
"Yes mom, Christina and I are going shopping. Have fun" I yell back
It is 11 AM. I think the sleepyhead should be up by now. I call Joey
"Hello" he says
"I love you" I respond
Joey chuckles and says "Hey babe, I love you too. Why are you up so early?"
"You sound so groggy you sleepyhead, wake up - it's almost noon"
"I know I am a bum. Did you get my flowers?" he asks
"Yes I did and I love them, thank you" I say
"You're welcome. I miss you."
"I miss you more" I tell him
"Not possible, what are you up to today?" he asks
"Christina and I are going shopping, what are your plans"
"That's nice, your brother and I are playing some basketball down at the park today, and we got some money games lined up"
"Look at you gambling, such a bad ass" I say and he laughs
"I got to win me some money so I can keep buying you roses, Rose" he says and chuckles
"Wow you are so funny Joey" I say
"I try, So...how many more days till we see each other" he says
"About 10. I cannot wait" I say
"Me neither. I got to go shower now though so I will talk to you later ok. Text me" says Joey
"Ok I will, bye, good luck today"
"Thanks, love you"
"Love you too" I say and hang up the phone
I get ready for my day with Christina.
At 1 o'clock she picks me up and we hit the mall.
"Do you like this dress Chris?" I ask as I hold up a cute pink and white dress from my favorite store, Too Cute.
"That's adorable; Joey would love you in that number"
"HA shut up" I say and purchase the dress
My cell phone starts to ring...
"Hello?"
"Hi honey its dad; you need to get down to the hospital right now. Mom's been in an accident"
"What?! Are you serious? What happened? Oh my gosh" I say with worry
"Don't worry ok just come quick, Christina can come too. Everything is going to be ok"
"Oh god ok we will be right there" I say and hang up
"What's going on?" Christina asks
"I don't know, my mom was in an accident we need to go now" I tell her
"Oh lord lets go" says Christina and we make our way to the hospital.
I hate hospitals. The smell of them and the white walls and white floors and the whole atmosphere scare me. Christina and I are on the elevator making our way up to the floor my mom is on.
"It is going to be ok sweetie" Christina says as she rubs my back
"I just want to know what is going on. Oh no! my brother is trying to call me but I have no service on this thing" I say with worry
"It's ok just call him when we get up to the floor"
"Now Joey is trying to call me, ugh you call Angelo and ill call Joey ok"
"Sounds good" she says and we step off the elevator
"First let's go find your mom Rosie"
"Hi my name is Rosalie Montebello. I am looking for my mother?" I say to the nurse's station
"Room 103 sweetie"
"Thank you"
I see my dad standing outside the room along with Jack. At least they seem to be getting along
"Hi daddy" I say and hug him
"Honey thank you for coming. Mommy was in a car accident. She was driving over to Jack's house and a car ran a stop sign and crashed right into the driver's side of her car. She is in critical condition right now but the doctor's say there is a very good chance of her becoming stable within the next couple of hours"
"Don't cry Rosie it's ok, come here" Christina says and hugs me
"Can I see her?" I say through tears
"Go ahead honey" Jack says
I walk into the room and see my mom lying there hooked up to all different types of machines. She looks terrible. Then my phone starts to ring
"Hello?" I say and exit the room
"BABY is everything ok what is going on?" It is Joey
"Joey my mom was in a car accident, now she is in critical condition and the doctor's are saying there is a good chance she will be stable within a couple of hours"
"Oh my god I'm so sorry, are you ok?" he asks
"Not really. I'm scared"
"What room and floor is she on babe"
"3rd floor room 103"
"Ok we'll see you in a few" Joey says and then hangs up
"Wait Chris, are the boys coming here? Joey just told me he will see me in a few"
"I don't know, I just got off the phone with your brother he said the same thing and then just hung up"
I laugh and say "You gotta love them"
About an hour later the elevator door opens and we see Joey and Angelo
Joey runs up to me and pulls me into a hug. I immediately start crying.
Christina comforts Angelo.
*JOEYS POINT OF VIEW*
I hate seeing my girlfriend like this. After all that she has been through, now this happens. I feel so bad. She is in my arms and hysterical crying I just want to help her stop but I don't know how.
"SH it's ok I'm here now...I love you so much" I whisper in her ear
Rosalie takes her head off my shoulder and looks at me. I wipe away her tears and she says "Joey I love you, really you didn't have to come all the way here but you did and you don't know how much that means to me"
"I would do anything for you, you're my girl"
"Thank you" she says as the tears are slowly stopping
"But you have to promise me you'll stop crying, it's only going to make things worse. You have to be strong ok? Be strong for Angelo, your dad, Jack, your mom, and most importantly be strong for yourself"
She nods her head in agreement.
"I'm going to go back in to see her, come with me?"
"Sure" I say and we make our way towards room 103
