"So I just received a text from my sister, Christina...she said that Joey told her he loved her and she said it back" I say

"Aww really? Finally those two realized they love each other. So does that mean they are officially together now?" Christina asks

"I don't know...I guess so" I say "I am happy for my sister though. She deserves the best and I know Joey will be that guy for her"

"He definitely will...he is amazing to her. He cares about her a lot. I don't think you have anything to worry about"

"Get over here..." I say and kiss my amazing girlfriend "I love you babe"

"I love you too" she says and smiles

"Do you remember the first time I told you I loved you?" I ask

Christina laughs and says "Of course I do...it was the funniest thing ever. You were so nervous and oh wow that was the best moment between us ever"

"I love you so much" I say and hug her

"Not as much as I love you" she says

So it's official. Joey loves me and I love him.
I am lying in his bed with him. We are freezing from the rain. It was worth it though.

Joey looks at me and says "So...you are my girlfriend now right?"

"Obviously. Thank you"

"For what?" he asks

"For telling me you love me. Or else I don't know when or if we would have been together" I say

"Yeah well Christina and Angelo were pushing us all along we were just too dumb to notice" my boyfriend says. Ah, boyfriend, that sounds amazing

"No you were the dumb one...just kidding! I love you" I say and snuggle up to him

He kisses my head and says "I don't want you to go home yet. We just started this and now you and Christina are going back"

"We are leaving tonight. We still have the whole day. I know what you mean though. I don't want to leave you either" I say

"Are you going to miss me?" he asks

"Of course I am but you know our tradition at night...ichat yay" I say

"All day everyday babe" he says and laughs

"It all started with that..." I say

"Mm, I will be home soon though. Winter break starts in a couple of weeks. So you only have to hang in there for a little while longer without kissing me" he says

"Oh you are so conceited Joey..." I joke

"Thank you I know" he says and I laugh

"I don't want to go home. My parents..." I say

"You will be fine. Now you know they are getting divorced and there really isn't anything you can do to change their decision. They are both happier this way so you should be too. Plus maybe now you will have two of everything" he says

"True...I know you're right. You always are. You give the best advice" I say and squeeze his cheeks

"Ow that hurt" he says and kisses my nose

"Sorry" I say and kiss him. "Did that hurt?"

"No. That will never hurt. I will never get sick of your kisses. Ever" he says

I smile and say "I'm tired. I am going to take a quick nap. Then we have the rest of the day together"

Joey and I fall asleep. All I can think and dream about is him and what lies ahead for us...

That day Joey and I did a lot of fun things. We went to the movies, went to the mall, and then went to dinner with Angelo and Christina. It was a great day! The only part that isn't going to be fun is the part right now-when Christina and I have to say goodbye.

"Don't leave me..." Joey says to me. He is holding my face in his hands and staring into my eyes.

"I wish I didn't have to. But you will be home soon enough. Then you will have me for a whole month over winter break" I say

"Yes you and me everyday we are seeing each other. No if, and, or but"

"No problem" I say and smile

Joey's lips crash to mine. Our tongues dance in harmony. He tastes so good.

"Bye Joey. I love you so much" I tell him when we pull away

"I love you more. Call me when you guys get home. Let us know you got home safe" he says

"We will" Christina says "Bye Joey. I am so happy for you guys"

"Bye Christina" he says and gives her a hug

"Bye bro...I love you. Thank you for everything this weekend. I needed it and it helped. I will let you know what is going on with mom and dad when I get home" I say to Angelo

Angelo pulls me into a hug and says "I love you too. Call me to talk anytime"

"Bye baby, I love you" Christina says to Angelo as she hugs him

Angelo gives her a kiss and says "I love you too babe. Call me later"

Christina and I wave to the boys one more time and make our way out to the car for a long ride home

"So are you happy you visited them this weekend?" asks Christina as we are driving home

"Yes, Christina thank you so much for taking me there and everything else you do for me."

"You know I am always here for you like an older sister" she says

"I know. I hope one day we can be sisters-in-law" I say and laugh

"Believe me girl, me too. I would marry your brother in a heartbeat"

"Aw I am glad you two are so happy with each other. My brother deserves a girl like you. You are amazing"

"So are you. Joey definitely deserves you and you definitely deserve him. He is so caring towards you. Anyone who doesn't know you two would be able to tell right away that you love each other" she says

"Thank you. I just don't want to go home to all the drama that is going on with my parents"

"Don't worry about that. What's done is done and everything happens for a reason. Think of it this way...if your parents were never fighting it would never have made you go up to see Joey and Angelo and you and Joey would never have been together right now..." Christina says

"That is so true. I guess I can look at it as something somewhat positive then"

"Definitely girl...you look exhausted why don't you take a nap. I will wake you when we get home" she says
