Her Hollowness
This poem is about a guy who loves a girl. He sees her for only what he wants her to see, but in real life she is all hollow.
Delicate finger with a golden ring,
A lovely voice that bird can sing,
Pillow mint and made up bed,
Rosy cheeks turning red.
Her moves are of keen grace,
Golden curls that cover her face,
A smile that makes your day go bright,
A smile that shines like the sunset light.
The fake plastered smile is not what you see,
You see her a goddess not who she be,
Her hollowness is like a knife in a back,
You made her a fantasy not an empty sack.
An empty place where her heart should have been,
Her hollowness is something you should have seen,
Maybe one day you will see,
How empty her soul can be.
