Hell Within -- Foreword

I began writing the following fiction in 1991. It was my first attempt at fiction and my longest running project.

It has seen many different drafts since and has been completely re-written five times. My guess is that it will continue to evolve.

It may not be my best, but it is certainly my favorite despite the fact that the dialogue contains far too much chitchat.

I would call this work ground zero. There are many recurring characters that make their debut in it, and many other stories that are associated with it in one way or another. The themes are complex and layered just like the plot itself.

I will post it as I have all others in small increments -- likely a chapter a week.

As always, your comments and critique are appreciated and welcomed. Criticism is an important part of the creative process.

Aside: For those of you following Cecilia's Demon, I'm not finished with it. There has been a new addition to my family, and my free-time is consumed with dirty diapers, feedings, and bottles. I will try to post the next segment within the month.
