I threw the court room doors open. I stormed in and tried to find an Elder who could tell me what exactly happened to Blaze.
Draco stepped out from the shadows and looked at me in surprise, "Aren't you supposed to be on Earth?"
"What happened to Blaze? Who did it? How could anyone even....harm him?"
Draco looked away and then spoke quietly, "Oh, so you know."
"Of course I know. I nearly died because my body felt like it was burning up from inside."
"Oh right, he was your mentor."
"Is. He will always be my mentor."
Draco nodded respectfully, "I'm guessing you want to know what exactly happened."
I just sat down on the floor and patted a space next to me. Draco just shook his head and then moved towards me. Once he was comfortable on the floor next to me he began, "Well, when Stella went back to Earth to tell you about the traitor, Darla had another vision. Someone was going to attack Icahn's realm."
I froze and Draco put his arm around me, "No, they didn't want to harm Icahn, they were looking for something. Icahn put up all his defenses but I think whoever it was, already got in. There were more than two of them. They managed to knock out Icahn from behind with a stun attack."
"Icahn got knocked out!?" Draco nodded solemnly, "Yes. Whoever it was must have been very powerful. I mean, getting knocked out? That's really rare for someone as powerful as Icahn."
I just glared at him, "Stop diverting. How does this have anything to do with Blaze?"
"Well, I can't tell you what they were looking for, but they didn't find it. Blaze stepped in. He went as fast as he could to Icahn's realm but all of Icahn's defenses were up. Once he did get through, his powers were considerably weakened. To take on three powerful traitors must have been tough. When Zairian, Darla and the others got there, Icahn was already awake but Blaze was put to sleep forever..."
I sniffed, "How did they find him?"
"Icahn sensed his death. It is his realm after all. He stormed the entire castle but whoever it was had gone. They left a message though. Icahn's realm is now off limits to everyone. Breaking into his realm would be murder. Icahn won't even respond to us. He is blaming himself for Blaze's death."
"No, I meant what happened to Blaze? What did they do to him?"
Draco sighed quietly, "It's better if you don't know. We haven't even told Terra."
I pushed Draco away and glared at him, "Terra deserves to know how her soulmate went down. I deserve to know how my mentor got put away!"
Draco shut his eyes slowly, "Carma....I can't tell you."
"YES you can. You just don't want to because you think you're protecting me. Well you're not! You're making this harder! If you tell us, maybe Terra or I can help identify someone who has such abilities!"
Draco snapped his eyes open. Okay, I think I had officially pissed him off. He got off the floor and snarled,
"Fine. You want to know? Someone with the darkness ability or healing ability killed Blaze! Icahn found traces of those different elements! You want to know something else? My OWN brother is a prime suspect or rather BOTH OF THEM."
I froze, "Levi or Nico? That's impossible."
Draco looked down at the floor, "Think Carma. They both stand to gain something. They both have amazing abilities to control Darkness or Healing. Plus there was another element that helped take down Blaze. He was too far gone though to sense anything else."
No wonder he was so stressed out. Suddenly Levi's tattoo flashed in my head. I quickly asked, "Hey Draco? What does a tattoo that looks like an upside down skull on fire mean?"
Draco frowned, "I've never heard of that before but I do know that sometimes when an Angel or Demon joins a certain secret society, they brand themselves with a tattoo."
"Oh. That is kind of weird. An upside down skull on fire could mean hanging someone upside down and burning them alive?"
Draco rolled his eyes, "No. It could be symbolic. Like a skull normally means danger. An upside down skull could mean they get rid of danger or something. The fire could stand for sacrifice. Hence the society could stand for sacrificing evil for the better of good or something."
Levi? In a society that fought against evil? Yeah right.
I was going to find out what that tattoo meant. The only way to do that would mean going into Icahn's realm
but now his realm was off limits. Carl might know what it meant. He was pretty smart. I got up, "I have to go now. I'll see you later."
Draco smiled, "Cool."
I quickly walked out of the court room and banged right into Stella. "I managed to put Terra to sleep. What are we going to do? WAIT A MINUTE. Carma! You're supposed to be back on Earth right now! You still have to keep an eye on those humans!"
"But....But Stella, Terra might need me!"
Stella shook her head, "This is more important." Before she could shove me into the portal that she created,
I stopped her and asked, "Does this mean War Stella?"
Stella froze and then nodded grimly, "Yes, but this time, It's different. We aren't dealing with Demons only. I have a feeling they have an Angel working with them too." When Stella mentioned the Angel, she looked at me with hard eyes. I gasped, "Don't you dare think I had anything to do with this."
Stella sighed, "Sorry darling. It's just really hard right now. Traitors, wars and now Blaze is gone."
I patted her awkwardly on the back, "It must be hard for you. Why don't you ask Yvonne to check out if she can track the darkness element found on Blaze to its rightful user?"
"She's already doing what she can. She's meditating right now. Her body is awake but her soul is busy searching for a single trace. Whoever it was wouldn't be stupid enough to leave traceable evidence. She's been at it since they found Blaze."
"Do I have to go back on Earth?"
"Yes Carma. It is essential that we have someone like you and Carl to make sure nothing goes wrong down there. I will slowly send a few more Angels and make sure the Healers are aware of this."
I frowned, "Doesn't it all seem a bit odd? I mean, why now? Why would they suddenly attack NOW?"
Stella just patted me on the head, "Good question. I'll ask Icahn to deal with all of that. I have a feeling it has to do with...." She trailed off when she noticed I was still around. She pushed me gently towards the portal. I narrowed my eyes, "Stella, do not hide information from me. You know I'll find out eventually."
I saw a tiny smile fighting against the corners of Stella's mouth but she refused to say anything. I just shrugged and jumped through the portal. I had another clue anyway. If the Angel and Demon society had secret clubs or gangs or whatever, all these attacks might be a gang.
Once I landed on the tree in the same park, I jumped down and saw Carl sleeping against the trunk of another tree. Aww, Carl looked so cute when he was sleeping!
Suddenly something caught my eye. I bent down next to Carl who was still fast asleep. I had seen a black line which was hidden by the rest of his collar.
No freaking way. Was that a tattoo?
