Heidi and Spencer May Sue NBC for Mistreatment
In the latest scandal surrounding everyone's least favorite reality couple, Heidi and Spencer are claiming that they were mistreated by NBC during filming of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
After quitting, then returning, then quitting again, Heidi and Spencer eventually ended up in the "lost chamber" on the reality show, I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. And, while in the chamber, they claim that they were mistreated, which eventually somehow led to Heidi being sick and admitted to a Costa Rican hospital. Ultimately, you have to think that the Speidi blow-ups on such a lame show are probably going to hurt their long-term fame prospects. Fortunately for them, there will be at least another season or two of The Hills - and surely some Speidi spin-off that will die quickly on some weak-but-ambitious cable network.
Some of this "breaking news" is coming directly from Stephanie Pratt, who has a direct line to the couple in Costa Rica. "She was throwing up 30 times with nothing in her stomach," Stephanie said. "She was really sick. She thought she was dying….I know they pulled such shitty antics," she said. "But being treated like criminals or terrorists? It's insane!"
Yes, truly insane. It's insane that this is somehow considered entertainment and/or entertainment news. Heidi and Spencer are probably two of the least interesting people you could find in any situation, let alone taking up screen time on your television screen for hours every week.
At least Stephen Baldwin is mildly entertaining in his harmless, dim-witted way. The Pratts are just painful to watch on almost every level. Granted, they may not be bad to look at, but if you've ever heard them speak, they become immediately unattractive. So they've killed that angle as well.
Hopefully NBC and the Speidi come to amicable terms that include them never appearing on the network - or in prime time - again.
