Heather Mills Splits with Law Firm
It has been reported that Heather Mills has split from the law firm representing her in her divorce from Paul McCartney.

Mills and the law firm Mishcon de Reya have decided to call it quits. A spokeswoman for the firm confirmed the split Friday saying, "We can confirm that she is no longer a client." The firm did not give a reason for the split. It has been speculated that Mills’ recent interviews may have led to the split with the law firm as well as with her publicist, Phil Hall. Mills has been doing interviews in the United States and the U.K. recently bashing her ex-husband and the media. She claims that McCartney "failed to protect her" during their separation and says the press "nearly" drove her to commit suicide. Mills now says that her interviews were "cathartic."
She is now looking for a new legal team to take over her divorce proceedings set to begin in February. McCartney’s camp has kept mum on the situation. He has recently been spotted getting cozy with Nancy Shevell, the vice president of New England Motor Freight and a member of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. McCartney and Shevell both have homes in the Hamptons and have reportedly been spending a lot of time together. Mills said of the relationship, "It’s none of anybody’s business what happens in Paul’s love life. Paul is a free man and can do what he wants."
Mills recently said in an interview that she believes that McCartney may have been feeding negative stories about her to the press. She said, "He swore on our daughter’s life that he’s never fed the media or his people one thing. I want to believe the father of my child, if I find it out to be different, I will be devastated." She also claims that she has not revealed the full truth about her relationship with McCartney and their split. She said, "I want the freedom to be able to tell my story should I need to defend myself. I offered to Paul that if he protects me from the inevitable hatred I’ll receive because I am a wife of a Beatle, I’ll never say anything derogatory about him." She said McCartney won’t give her a divorce until she is "gagged" and said she is waiting for the two-year separation, which will be in May.
