HeartBeat - Ch-5

The Nightmare
Minal opened her eyes and found her self on a bed in a room with dim lights. She looked about but couldn’t remember to have seen this room before ever. Frightened she got up and sat on the bed.
"Where am I?" she wondered. "Why am I wearing a bridal dress? Am I already married? How come I don’t remember a thing? What’s going on? Where is everyone? Where is Mom? "
Just when she was about to get out of the bed, she heard someone open the bedroom door. She tried to figure out who was approaching her. As the figure neared her, she recognized the person. It was Raj. He slowly approached her, but as he came forward, Minal found something different in his looks from the photo she had seen. He didn’t looked that handsome now, as he came closer, she saw his face clearly and was shocked to see him. He was not at all that good looking. His eyes were red, his face was dark and he had two teeth pocking out like Dracula with evil smile on his face.
"Hahahahaha, you are my wife now and you will do exactly as I say." Said Raj in a furious voice.
Minal was terribly frightened. Her face became pale.
Raj took her by her arms and said in his most dreadful voice "You will follow my orders and if you refuse I will hit you, like this." And he started slapping her on her face.
Minal was so shocked that she could hardly move.
"I am thirsty now, I want to drink your blood." Saying so Raj came closer to bit on her neck.
"NOOOOOOOO." Minal screamed her lungs out.
"What happened ?" her mom came rushing towards her.
"Aaaaaaaaaaa" Minal kept screaming in her sleep.
"Its only a nightmare dear, open your eyes. " Said mom, shaking her.
Minal opened her eyes and found herself in her bedroom, sweating, her mom hugging her tightly and father starring at her worried.
It was not usual, because Minal never had bad dreams and this was a very harsh one being the first nightmare ever.
"Just relax dear, nothing is wrong , Mom’s here." Said Mrs. Seth, tenderly.
"I will get some water" said Dad.
After drinking water, Minal started relaxing and lay on her bed. That night her Mom slept with her.
Next day she woke up rather late with a dull sound of the main door close. She looked at the time; it was 10:30 am.
"That must be Mom off to school." She thought. She got out of the bed freshen up and left her room. She entered the hall and sat on the opposite couch facing her dad.
"Your awake" said Dad. "There is some breakfast Mom made for you. She thought we had better let you sleep in today, because of last night."
Minal just nodded her head, understandingly.
"Man you have a voice like a LION. I am sure the whole neighborhood heard you scream." Dad said and both chuckled at it.
"Come on, eat your breakfast." Said Dad as he got up to call her uncle Sameer to discuss the marriage matter.
