Easy Fruit Smoothie Recipe:
Smoothies taste great anytime and can be combined with breakfast or can be a very delicious treat after dinner! Use this healthy dessert recipe without worrying about weighty issues.
Ingredients:
Skim milk (1 cup)
Frozen fruit (1/2 cup)
Low fat, no fat or light yogurt (1/2 cup-any flavor)
Preparation:
You will need to add all the ingredients in the blender. Mix this well. Manipulate the settings to get smoother or thicker smoothies. Serve in a tall and chilled glass.
Healthy Brownie Dessert Recipe:
Ingredients:
Unsweetened chocolate (100g)
Flour (1 cup)
Walnuts (1/2 cup)
Soy margarine (1 cup)
Maple sugar (1 1/2 cup)
Eggs (4)
Vanilla extract (1 tbsp)
Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
Preparation:
Firstly, you need to preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Then, you will need to melt the chocolate and the margarine on low heat and let it cool. Meanwhile, mix the sugar, eggs and the vanilla and whisk this till it turns frothy. Now, add this to the chocolate mixture.
Once done, add the walnuts, salt and the flour and mix it well. Place this in a lightly greased pan. Bake this preparation for at least 25 to 30 minutes.
Blueberry Cheesecake Recipe:
For the Crust:
Low-fat graham cracker crumbs (1 1/2 cup)
Light margarine - softened (1/4 cup)
Granulated sugar (3 tbsp)
For the Filling:
Fat-free cream cheese - softened (16 oz)
Granulated sugar (1/2 cup)
Pure vanilla extract (1/2 tsp)
Whole egg whites (2)
Blueberry pie filling (2/3 cup)
Preparation:
For the crust- Mix the crumbs, sugar and the margarine in a mixing bowl. Press this mixture in a pie pan that should be around 9". Let this chill for an hour or wait till it becomes firm. An even better option would be to bake this in the oven at 375 degrees for around ten minutes. Or you can even wait for the edges to turn brown. Let it cool before you use it for filling.
Now, preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Combine the vanilla extract, cream cheese, sugar and the egg whites so that you can prepare the filling. Spread this over the crust. Now, spoon the blueberry filling on top. Cut through both layers with the help of a knife. Doing this a couple of times will give you the swirled effect. Bake this preparation for about 40 minutes. Serve this with the remaining blueberry pie filling.
Peach Float Recipe:
Ingredients:
Vanilla ice milk (4 cups)
Club soda (32 ounces)
Reduced-fat whipped topping (1/2 cup)
Ground nutmeg
Peaches - drained, except for 1/2 cup juice (1 can - 15 ounces)
Preparation:
Firstly, you need to mash the peaches with a fork in a small bowl. Divide the mashed peaches into 4 glasses. Add the peach juice to this, (2 tablespoons) and the milk as well (1 cup). Pour the soda (1 cup) into the glasses. Use around 2 tablespoons of whipped cream as a topping and add a dusting of nutmeg to this.
