Healthy Eating is Expensive

This myth is heard from many people. But when you buy a chicken it cost up to 2.50GBP, where as if you want great health then it can be provided by number of vegetables with full of nutrition without adding extra fat to your body. This is in fact a best way to keep your self healthy by adopting more vegetables in you life.

Food With Negative Calorie

It is a common myth that some foods, such as celery, contain negative calories because they require more energy to digest than they contain. No foods contain negative calories, though most of the foods that are thought to do contain very few. There is no food with so called negative calorie but the term we can use is low calorie.

Late Night Eating = Weight Gain

No matter what time of day you eat, consuming more calories than you burn off will result in weight gain. Calorie intake without getting burnt always results into weight gain, and it is not subject to the time of food consumption.

Butter Contains More Fat Than Margarine

Many people assume margarine contains less fat than butter. The truth, however, is that margarine and butter are made from different types of fat (butter is animal based, margarine plant based) but still contain similar levels of fat.

All Smoothies Are Healthy

Bear in mind that the acid in fruit juices and smoothies will attack the enamel on your teeth. To avoid acid damage, rinse your mouth out with water or drink milk after drinking a smoothie. Smoothies are good for immediate energy for your body but you can’t recognize it all worth every time.

Some Foods Burn Fat

Diet fads such as the Grapefruit Diet or the Cabbage Soup Diet proved that eating just one food starves your body of the benefits of a healthy, balanced diet and that no foods can be labeled 'fat-burners'. No foods burn fat or significantly raise your metabolism. Instead, try the simple but effective method of exercising and burning off more calories than you eat.

Red meat is high in fat

While some cuts of red meat contain more fat than others, red meat is in fact relatively low in fat and is rich in protein, iron and zinc. Another inexpensive solution to this myth is adopt veg. eating which offers you low fat as well as protein in sufficient unit.

Carbohydrates Are Bad

The popularity of low-carbs diets such as Atkins has given carbohydrates a bad name. Don't be fooled. Carbs play an important part in eating a healthy, balanced diet and are particularly important for anyone doing lots of exercise. The thing over here is Carbohydrates are not bad but when you continue it’s intake without any major activities then it may results into fat.

Frozen Fruit is not as Healthy

Fruit and vegetables begin to lose nutrients as soon as they are harvest, but far from ridding foods from their goodness, freezing them actually locks in the many beneficial vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. Buying frozen also allows you to buy British produce when the fresh alternatives on supermarket shelves have been flown thousands of miles round the world.

Veggie means healthy

Some vegetarians like to think that their diet is healthier than that of us omnivores. However, veggie dishes are likely to be just as high in fat if they contain alternatives such as cheese, cream or have been deep fried. Some meat options, such as fish and chicken, are actually usually the healthiest option.

Eggs Will Raise Cholesterol

Although eggs are high in fat and do contain high levels of dietary cholesterol, there is little evidence that eating a sensible amount will have a negative effect on your cholesterol levels.

Dairy Makes You Fat

While cheese and other dairy products can be high in fat, there is no reason why you can't enjoy them in moderation. Remember, the only thing that will make you put on weight is eating more calories than you burn. Dairy products are also a great source of calcium. You could also switch to skimmed milk or low fat cheese varieties if you do want to cut out more fat from your diet.

Obesity (Unhealthy Overweight) is Genetic

What is inherited is attitudes towards food and living in general. These include guilt, fear, anger, depression and a general outlook on life. It is not like always that your gene becomes active over night. When you continue with carelessness with your food intake obesity is obvious, there is no role of genetics in it.
