The goji berries are basically the shriveled red berries that almost look like the red raisins. The goji berries are grown on the evergreen shrub that is found in the subtropical and the temperate regions of Himalayas in Tibet, Mongolia and China. They belong to the nightshade family and are found dry having a slightly tangy taste. The goji berries are also popularly knows as the Fructus lycii, gou gi zi, wolfberry, Lycium barbarum. They are also called as the happy berries because they usually create the sense of the optimism and well being to a person.
