Haunt You

A poem about how words once spoken cannot be unspoken...
"Words" you can never take back
And so I try not to say anything
But you feel no such compulsion
And all I hear from you
Are hateful words

"You can't trust me?"
What bullshit!
In your defense
I let slip your secret
But guess what?

The whole world
Already knows this
And your secret is only a secret in your head
All I did was correct people's misconceptions
And I did this by telling the truth

So now YOU can't TRUST me
Because I BETRAYED you
But not once
Did you look at the circumstances
BUT HOW CAN YOU?

In your black and white world
All you can see
Perhaps all you want to see
Is how horrible this world is
And for you there is only one truth

Don't trust anyone
But here's a news flash
The world in not black and white
It's one huge mass of grey
And silver and all the other colors of the rainbow

So stay mad if you want
And see the world in black and white
But if one day you decide to change
Just remember
You can't go back

You can't take "words" back
Any more than you can take "actions" back
You CAN only go FORWARD
SO be careful what you say and do
You never know when it will come back and haunt you!!!
