Hatred Affection 17 & 18

Chapter 17

Saturday is here and it's party time for us. We're all dress up in formal getting ready to go while we waited for Lela, Ruby, and Naling to come downstairs.

"Isn't this great," said Kenji happily. Oh yeah, Kenji never found out about the problem between Naling and me because I didn't want Kenji to be mad at me. As for Naling, I don't know what she's thinking but I know that she didn't want to upset her brother either that's why she pretending to be lovely and gentle when he's around.

"Yeah, this is great," I happily said too. "The three of us going to a party without our parents being there."

"I know because this party is only for us young people," said Xai, drinking his wine cup.

"Hey I'm 24 year old and I still look young," joked Kenji.

"Yes my darling, you're still young," said Ruby.

The three of us turn around to look at our lady. Ruby was pretty with her pink dress and Lela was also pretty too, with her blue dress. I started to wonder where Naling is but then I hear her running downstairs.

"Here I am!" she yelled. I slowly got up the stairs before she trips down the stair. I caught her just in time. I could smell her sweet sense as she slowly gazes at me with a smile. "I'm so clumsy."

I also smile back at her too. "You are clumsy."

She pushed me off the stair and I just laugh. She was beautiful wearing her white dress which that matches my suit. It was a strapless dress that cut down to her knee. There are also diamond alongside her dress and her hair was down and waving. I couldn't take my eyes off her. I kept on staring at her, dazing off on how she make my heart jump each time.

"C'mon Vee, let's go," said Xai.

Lela waved her hand in front me and I blink turning to look at her. "You could stare at her all you want when you guy dance. C'mon."

I chuckle, feeling embarrasses. I turn to look at Naling again but she wasn't smiling at me anymore since Kenji gone already. I held out my hand toward her and said, "Let's go."

She didn't say anything but grabbed my hand and the both of us headed out silently. Once we got to the party, we decided to stick together. Actually it was Lela idea because she didn't want Naling and me to argue. Which I think it's a pretty good idea since I wanted her to talk to me anyway.

"I love how they design this party," Naling said happily.

"Not as lovely as you," I said to her.

She sweetly smiles at me. "Aww, thanks Vee." She grabbed onto my elbow and whisper, "Don't think that I like you."

"But I do," I whisper back to her.

"But I don't so stop acting like that." This time she raised her voice a little bit higher.

"C'mon Naling, let's just enjoy the day alright."

"But I don't want to enjoy with you!"

"Is there something wrong?" asked Kenji.

Naling and I turn to look at him. "Oh nothing."

"What do you guy mean 'nothing'?" Kenji asked again. "It sounds like the both of you were arguing."

"No we weren't," we said at the same time.

Kenji was about to ask us another question but Lela quickly said, "Let's go dance."

"That's a good idea," I quickly said after her. Naling glare at me but I didn't give a care.

"I agree too," Kenji said after me. Kenji and Ruby took off first, leaving the four of us still standing there together.

"Why didn't you tell my brother the truth?" she asked me angrily.

"I didn't want your brother to worry about our relationship," I answer her.

"Our relationship?"

"Okay not our relationship. But I don't want him to worry about you..."

"Worry about me? I don't need him to worry about me. I bet you just worry about yourself that my brother will beat you up if you mess with me."

I was about to say something but Lela and Xai quickly split us up.

"What's wrong with you, Vee?" Xai asked me.

"There's nothing wrong with me but her," I answer him, pointing to her as she pointed to me too.

"I mean, why are you acting this way? You say that you love her, why not act sweet to her so she'll forget about everything. Tell and show her how much you love her."

"I try, Xai. I try everything even yesterday too. I talk nicely to her but she told me to go away. She yells at me all the time. I can't take this anymore, Xai."

"I bet she's having a hard time too that's why she acting likes that. I bet Leena say something to her that's why. Don't you ever think like that?"

"I do and I know Leena will say something to her so she'll break up our engagement. That's why I'm planning to talk to Leena about everything."

"Then why didn't you talk to her yesterday. You were with her."

"We were together only for five minutes because I was waiting for Naling."

"Still Vee."

"But look, I try talking with Leena and she didn't even listen to a single word I say to her."

"By mentioning her name...here she comes." I turn around and it was exactly what Xai said. "Vee, she's coming over here. Now it's your chance to talk with her."

"What about Naling? She'll think that I ditch her to be with Leena. I don't want her to think like that again."

Xai patted my back. "Don't worry. I'll explain to Naling. Just tell Leena everything alright." Xai started to walk to Lela and Naling while I stand there, waiting for Leena.

"Hey Vee," said Leena. She give me a gently hug and I did the same thing too.

"I can't believe that you're here too," I gently said.

"Hey it's a party right. I got to be here." I smile instead of answering her. "So, why aren't you with Naling or your fiancée huh?" she asked me.

I nervously smile. "We were arguing so we decided to stay away from each other for a while until the both of us calm down."

"Oh I see." She chuckled. "I remember when we were dating...the both of us never did argue."

"Only once in a while..."

"Yeah but not as much as you and your new girlfriend." She touched my shoulder and started to gently rub it. "I was thinking, Vee...that the both of us-"

"I've been thinking too, Leena," I quickly cut her words.

"You've been thinking about the two of us too?" I nodded my head and she smile. She wrapped both of her hand around my neck and she moves her body with the nice and slow music. "So...tell me about it. I wanted to hear what you got to say...are you going to break up with Naling? That's what I wanted to hear from you and if this is what you're going to tell me, don't worry Vee, I'm here for you and I'll never leave you ever again."

This time I chuckled. "That is not what I'm going to say." She instantly stops moving. "Look Leena, I was thinking that the both of us should be friend instead."

"But I don't want to be friend," she sweetly whined.

I try to move her hand away from my neck but she was holding onto my neck tight. "If you don't want to be friend...then let's be enemy instead."

Finally she let go of me. "Is this what you wanted things to end, Vee? Between us?"

I nodded my head. "I told you already, you're not the one I love. And let's forget about the past and planned our future up ahead of us. One day you're going to find someone that's going to be better than me, you made never know."

"But I want you, Vee. You're the one that I love and I know you're lying to me. You still love me..."

I slowly shake my head. "I don't love you anymore, Leena. You got to understand that people change. I've change and you've also change."

She also shakes her head too. "You're the one that change. I haven't changed a bit, Vee. I'm still the same old Leena. The one that you use to love and care."

"Not anymore. I got the one I love and care already. And I'm going to keep it like that because I knew she also loves me too. I'm sorry Leena, I can't share you my love anymore. I'm moving on and you got to move on too. Like they say, once you choose your path you got to keep on going. There's no turning back."

A tear drop from the corner of Leena's eye. I was going to wipe it but she slaps my hand away and started to run away. I know what I did hurt her and it also hurt me too. But I got to tell her someday so she'll let go of me and I'll have a happy life with the one I love. Naling. Although it hurt, it will hurt for a while because I got the one I wanted already. And I also wanted Leena to have her own happy life with the one she loves also.

---- Naling's POV ----

Since the day that Vee and I argue, I felt horrible. I couldn't stop crying at night because it hurt so much. So I decided not to talk to Vee anymore until I decided what to do next. But it was hard for me to think because I wanted to be with Vee and wanted to hear him talk. That's when I decided that no matter what I do to keep a distance from Vee; I'll miss him and wanted him to be there with me. Still, I was being rude to him and that's stupid because I'm jealous. I can't believe I say those stupid words to him that's why Lela lecturing me about my love life.

"Can't you calm down, Naling?" Lela asked me angrily.

"I am calm, Lela but it's him not me," I said pointing at Vee and he was pointing at me also.

Lela held onto my shoulder forcing me to face her and I did. "No you're not, Naling. What's wrong with you huh? Didn't I tell you that whenever you talk with Vee about a problem, don't just skip to the subject? You got to listen to both side."

"How will I trust him huh?"

"Naling, I've known him since childhood. I trust him and you got to trust him too. Things between Leena and him is over. That's what he told me."

I scratched my head. "He did?"

Lela nodded her head. "I talk with him already during Thursday when you didn't want to talk with him. He explained everything to me already. He loves you, Naling. He'll never do that."

I sigh, turning to look at him and see that Leena and Vee were talking together.

"Hey Naling, don't get piss at Vee, alright," said Xai the moment he stand next to me.

"Why shouldn't I?" I asked him.

I evilly turn to look at him as he just smiles at me.

"Vee just clearing things between the both of them," answer Xai.

I turn back to look at Vee and Leena. She has her hand wrap around his neck. I turn to look back at Xai. "Clearing things? Why does Leena have her hand wrap around his neck?"

Lela gently rubbed my shoulder. "Naling, don't worry alright. She just wanted to do that to get you jealous."

"Yeah Lela right, Naling. Vee is an honest person. He'll never turn his back on you," said Xai.

The three of us turn to look back at them and Leena was walking toward us. She grabbed my hand and said, "Don't think that you win, Naling. I'm still going to make Vee fall in love with me again." She aggressive pushed me at Lela but Xai caught Lela before she fell down.

"Are you okay?" Lela and Xai asked me.

"I'm alright," I answer them.

"Are you three okay?" asked Vee the moment he came back.

I turn to look at him and Lela answers him. "We're okay, Vee."

Vee turns to look at me. "What about you? What did Leena say to you before she went off?" It's just so sweet when Vee is worry about me. The expression on his face, lighten me up but I'm still piss at him.

"It's none of your business," I answer him angrily.

"It is my business, Naling. I don't want you to get hurt." He gently grabbed my hand and I aggressively pulled my hand away from him.

"What do you mean you don't want me to get hurt? Don't you see that I'm hurting already? Do you even notice or you don't even give a care about it?" I angrily said to him. Lela and Xai were about to say something but I quickly said, "Don't even try to get into our problem, you two?"

They then decided not to say anything. Vee turns to look at them and said, "I'm sorry you two but this time I just wanted to talk with Naling only." He grabbed my hand again, pulling me out of the party.

"Let go of me, Vee!" I yelled at him the moment we were out of the party. He did as I told him.

"What's wrong with you, Naling? Why did you yell at Lela and Xai? They were trying to help only," he said, trying not to raise his voice.

"But I don't want them to get involved with our problem anymore."

"Then why didn't you say it nicely to them instead." This time he raised his voice a little bit higher.

"I was trying to but I was piss."

"But they're not the one making you piss. It was me so why don't you yell at me instead!"

"I am yelling at you! You idiot!"

"Look who's the idiot! Getting piss for no reason."

"I do have reason why I'm pissed!"

"Then tell me your reason!"

"Because I was jealous of you!" I instantly cover my mouth. I can't believe I say that to him, that I was jealous which is the truth. I could feel my face burning red.

"You were jealous of me," he said gently.

I look up at him, knowing that I can't hide the truth anymore since I already shouted it out to him. "Of course," I answer him. "Who wouldn't be jealous when your boyfriend is talking to his ex-girlfriend?"

He chuckled shaking his head. "There's no need for you to be jealous, Naling." I look up at him and he gently touched my face with those fingers of his. "You're the one I love. Although she's my first love, it doesn't mean that first love last forever."

"Yes they do."

"What? You love someone before?"

I shake my head. "Vee...you're my first love and I love you. So don't say that first love doesn't last forever."

He chuckled again, pulling me close to him. "Okay, first love does last forever." He wrapped his hand around my waist. "But it's only between us. Not anyone out there." He brings his lip down to mine and kissed me. I gently bring my hand up to his neck, embracing them. It felt so good being with him right now.

Chapter 18

Today is my brother, Kenji, wedding and everything was a fuss and I'm also having a major headache.

"Where's my dress?" I asked them, taking off my shirt and pant.

"I think it's in the other room," answer Mea.

"Why is it in the other room?" I asked her.

"Don't worry, Naling," said Lela wearing her dress. "Just go get your dress because I have to get my dress in that room too."

I growl. "I only have an hour to fix myself since I've been helping them out at the church." I quickly put on a short and a t-shirt.

"Hey you say that you wanted to be an Interior Designer," Lela said again.

"I know and I shouldn't complain. Well, I'm going to get my dress now." I open the door and quickly run to get my dress in the guest room where Ruby is getting ready also.

"Hey Naling, how's everything going?" asked Ruby. "Is it a hard day for you? Because if it is then I'm sorry."

I shake my head. "No it's not a hard day for me."

"That's great to hear from you. So how's the church going?"

I grabbed my dress from the closet. "Everything going fine and exactly the way you like it, Ruby." I went to give her a hug to calm her down.

"Thanks Naling. For everything."

"You welcome Ruby." I patted her on the back for the last time and headed back to my room.

When I got close to my room, Vee surprises me by grabbing my waist and spinning me around.

"Vee!" I happily said his name as he stops spinning me. He kissed my lip and I kissed him back. "So how's my little sweetheart been doing?"

"I'm doing great," he said. "What about you?"

I growl. "My head is hurting and it felt like I'm about to explosive into pieces."

He kissed my forehead. "Don't worry, babe. When it's our wedding, you're going to have a major headache more than this."

"Thanks for not helping me, Vee."

He touched my lip with his finger. "I was just kidding." The both of us giggle at each other.

"Naling," Lela called me. The both of us turn to look at her, not even noticing that Vee still has his hand wrapped around my waist.

"Yes Lela," I answer her.

She smiles at me. "You better come and get ready and don't worry, then both of you could cuddle each other as long as you guys want, once the wedding is over."

I blushed. "I'll be there." Lela went back into the room leaving the two of us alone again. "Well, I better get ready."

"Yeah, you go get yourself ready," said Vee. He kissed my lip for the last time before we head off.

Since the day of the party, Vee and I started to get along much better. We sometime argue but those argue turn into laughter only. We also decided to leave the past behind since it's not important to us anymore. And it felt so good also.

"Let's take a picture before we head to the church," said Lela happily.

"I agree too," said Ruby grabbing onto Lela and my hand, heading to the front of the house.

"Let's take the girl first," Lela said again.

"Aww and you don't want us to be in your picture," whined Xai.

Lela kissed him on the cheek. "Don't worry babe, I'll take a picture with you but first I got to take picture with Ruby and Naling."

"Where's our parent?" asked Ruby.

I patted her on the shoulder. "They're at the church right now."

"Oh, okay," said Ruby. "I thought they're still here."

"C'mon let's take a picture first," I said. We all got together and started to take some picture. After that we headed to the church. Mea and Cindy take Ruby to her room to fix her again while Lela and I walk around the church to check if everything is in place.

"It's almost time for the wedding to start," I said to Lela as we walk pass the entrance door. "Go tell Ruby to get ready, alright."

"Don't you have to come too," said Lela.

"I'll just wait here to check if anyone coming late then you'll come back here and tell me so I'll close the door."

She nodded her head. "Alright." She started to head toward the hallway to the room while I stand there and wait for anyone who's late. Then I heard something behind the curtain. I slowly walk toward the curtain. At first I thought that it was Vee, playing a trick on me. I was about to call his name but someone grabbed me from behind. I was about to scream but they cover my mouth with a handkerchief. I started to struggle for a moment and suddenly everything went pitch black.

---- Lela's POV ----

I started to head toward the room and knock on the door. Cindy opens the door and said, "Miss Lela is it time yet."

I nodded my head. "It's time so get ready alright."

"Okay," said Ruby. "Where's Naling?"

"Oh she's at the entrance. I'll go get her," I answer her.

She nodded her head while I headed back to the entrance. When I got back to the entrance I saw two guy carrying Naling down the hallway. I didn't want them to notice that I saw them so I called Vee while I slowly follow behind them.

"Hey Lela, waz up?" Vee said happily.

"Vee, where are you?" I asked him.

"At the back door getting ready to go inside," he answers me.

The two guys seem to be heading out the back door so I quickly told Vee to wait for me. But when the two guys got close to the back door, they headed out through another door so I quickly went up to Vee.

"Vee! Vee!" I yelled.

"What is it?" Vee asked the moment he found me.

"Someone kidnapped Naling," I answer him.

"What?! Where did they go?"

"They just barely got out that door." The moment when I said that, Vee storm out of the room. I also run after him too and bumped into Xai and Kenji.

"What's wrong?" asked Kenji.

"Someone kidnapped Naling," I answer him quickly.

Xai didn't take a moment to hesitate but storm out after Vee.

"Lela you take care of business here. I'm going after them," Kenji quickly said.

I nodded my head and run back inside while Kenji run after them.

---- Vee's POV ----

The moment I got outside, I saw two guys putting Naling into a car. I was about to run up to them but Xai grabbed onto my hand.

"Not yet, Vee or else they'll do something to her," Xai whisper to me.

"What do we do then? Let them take her instead," I answer him.

"Let's follow them," said Kenji. We turn to look at him and he was already in his car, getting ready to go after them.

Xai and I got into the car and follow behind. Then Xai cell phone started to ring.

"Lela, what is it? Is everything fine over there?" Xai asked her.

"Everything fine, Xai. Tell Kenji that the wedding is going perfectly fine," Lela answers him.

"Alright."

"Xai, tell me where are you guy right now?"

"We're still in the car."

"Call me when you guy stop so I'll call the police alright."

"Okay Lela. I will." He hangs up his cell phone. "Kenji, Lela told me that the wedding is going perfectly fine."

"Is Ruby mad?" Kenji asked him.

Xai shrug his shoulder. "Sorry, I forgot to ask her that."

"It's alright. At least Ruby understands about this. I don't mean to run away from our wedding but it's just that...Naling is my sister and I got to save her too."

We didn't say anything after that. Once when the car that took Naling, drive into a dusting driveway, we stop near the driveway.

"Let's follow them instead of driving," said Kenji. "And I also know this place too. It has an abandon house here about a quarter mile away."

"Then why don't we drive instead," said Xai.

I hit Xai on the head. "You idiot, this is a dusting road. They'll see us follow them so it's better off if we walk instead."

"Alright but I got to call Lela first. You two go ahead," said Xai.

"Okay you'll call Lela while Kenji and I'll go first," I quickly said to Xai. I started to run ahead and Kenji follows behind me. When we got close to the abandon house, two guy jump behind us and attack us. I grabbed the guy by the arm and flipped him over. Kenji struggle a bit but he manage to flipped the guy over too.

"Vee, you go save Naling first. I'll take care of these two," said Kenji.

I nodded my head and headed toward the house.
