Give yourself a good pat on the back three times daily.
Every day, give yourself a good pat on the back for at least three good things you have done well for the day. It matters not if it is as mundane as submitting your work an hour earlier than the deadline, or completing a difficult sudoku puzzle which had boggled your mind for weeks on end. An achievement is an achievement no matter how small or seemingly insignificant it may be. But in complimenting yourself, rather than say, "I am so good," or, "I am such a great guy," praise yourself for the work you put into the task, saying, " I have done a great job, " or "Great work."
Accept and love your body for what it is.
With the powerful influence of media these days, it is hard not to get taken in by all those gorgeous people with perfect features and reed thin bodies (or buff, sculpted ones) plastered in almost every conspicuous place there is in the metro. As maddening as it is to realize the stark contrast between the kind of physical perfection media is forcing upon you and the reality that is the flabs in your body and the incongruence of your physical features, you must accept the truth that each of us is beautiful in our own right - and that includes you.
