Harry Potter Actress Claims On-screen Kiss is Like "Incest"

Emma Watson, of Harry Potter fame and now a fashion model as well, has described her on-screen kiss with Rupert Grint as feeling like "incest," but we’ve got no word from Grint on his take.
Emma Watson, the vixen-in-the-making child actress who has grown up with the "Harry Potter" series of films, recently shot a scene with co-star Rupert Grint in which she had to kiss her longtime colleague. Apparently, the relationship between cast members in the highly-successful film franchise is such that the kiss felt like "incest" to Watson, who said the scene was rather awkward. Watson, now 19, plays the role of Hermione Granger in the movies and the scene in question was filmed for the latest installment, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

Said Watson, "We did the kiss two weeks ago and it was the most horrible thing I’ve ever had to do. Not because Rupert isn’t lovely and there are millions of girls out there who would probably chop their left arm off to kiss him, but it just felt like incest. That is the only way I can describe it." Watson went on to explain that the scene require six takes, and added, "The great thing about kissing is you close your eyes. So when I was kissing him, I had my eyes closed so I could not think about the fact that it was him. The worst bit was when we had to open our eyes and look at each other."

No word from Grint regarding his opinion of the on-screen kiss, but we’re guessing he was slightly less bothered by it. Watson is also a model for Burberry, a British fashion label and, not surprisingly, gets hit on frequently. Said Watson, referring to "chat-up lines," said "It is amazing how many, I don’t think you can even call them chat-up lines, that you can get out of ‘broomsticks’ and ‘wands’ and things. And the other thing they do is they come up and they think they are really original and funny and I will never have hard it before, and they go: ‘Oh, you’re the girl from Narnia aren’t you.’ They know I’m not, but they think it’s funny."
