I got a deadline so I'll have to post this story before I post 'Melody' but I'll post the next chapter of 'Melody' soon. I promise but most likely after I finish this story....
Melody's POV:
Great. only 7 minutes remaining and I was still lost! God. This school is so damn big.
"Hey. Lost?" a voice said and I turned behind to see two guys behind me in the hallway.
One was my prince, the other was probably his friend.
"Yeah...." I said sheepishly.
"Lots of new students tend to get lost on their first days. Why not you come with us? We're about to go to the Opening Ceremony when Zach, here... saw you staring into nothing and dragged me along" the other guy said nudging my prince, Zach.
"That would be great! Are you sure you know your way around?" I teased the other guy.
"Ha-ha. I've been in this school for one year. I'm Thomas. Call me Tom" Tom said, offering his hand.
I shook his hand gently.
"Melody" I introduced myself and strangely, I thought I felt someone...
"Zachery Smith. People call me Zach" my prince said, smiling.
Oh My God. His smile was like the sweetest thing on earth!
"Come on. Let's go. We're gonna be late" Tom said, leading the way with me and Zach following behind.
There it was again. That feeling. It was really starting to get onto my nerves. I found myself looking around to see whether anything was following us. Nothing. Wait. You're getting confused right? I'll tell you. But it doesn't really make much sense.
You see.... how do I put this... my family is different from normal humans. We have powers. And no. We're not Vampires or anything weird. Just different. As far as I know, we're the only ones who possess these powers. Let's go back to when it all began...
My great-grandfather was a scientist. He managed to create something that was thought to be only existent in fairy tales and dreams, fantasy all those kind of stuff. He didn't want anyone to discover it so he took the whole potion and injected it into his bloodline. When he gave birth to my grandmother, she had the potion in her bloodline as well and so on. Those married into the family don't have it though... I guess it's hereditary. And it continued like that until my father.
He said that when I was born, a huge light had been sensed by all those nonhuman creatures that are living on Earth till this day. He described it as the taking place of the prophesy. What prophesy? I have no idea. What are we called? EMV. I don't really understand what it means though. EMVs can supposedly sense other creatures around us. And this presence is telling me that it's a Vampire. I don't see anybody behind, in front of me so I dismissed this strange presence as my imagination.
"Melody? We're here" Zach said, interrupting my thoughts.
"Huh? Oh thanks. I guess I better find my brother then. Bye and thanks" I said running and squeezing into the crowd to see Dan.
Zach's POV:
When we were walking to the hall for the opening ceremony, I felt weird. A presence of some sort. If I can identify it and my guess is not wrong ... it's an EMV. I have no idea why I was feeling it at a time like that but it worried me.
"Hey, Tom. Did you feel an EMV presence just now?" I asked when we were alone.
He looked at me weirdly.
"Yeah... strange. What would a EMV be doing here?" he asked back.
Getting confused? Okay. I'll tell you mine and Tom's secret. Well the secret of our families. We're Vampires. Weird? Tell me about it. But not those blood-sucking vampires you see on TV though. Our kind is different. We can feed on normal food, behave human and go out in the sunlight. But we ARE immortal. Just like EMVs.

Is it a cliffhanger? I don't know but I gotta go and get ready for the young Authors Scheme. Comment ! But if not, it's okay .
