The following article suggests some fun Halloween party ideas for preschoolers, which will come handy for those planning a kiddies Halloween party. Read on...
When it comes to hosting a Halloween party for kids under five years of age, there are a number of things that you should keep in mind. Firstly, the number of invitees should not be more than fifteen as managing kids is not an easy job. Secondly, make sure that you have some help in the form of parents of the kids or baby sitters, so that you are able to conduct Halloween games and activities properly. Considering that these things are in place, let's move on to learn some unique Halloween party ideas, which are sure to make the affair exciting and thrilling for kids.

Halloween Party Invitations
The invitations should be like a prelude to the Halloween party. So, you can make invitations in all forms and shapes which you feel represent Halloween appropriately. Some ideas, vis-a-vis invitations, are to design them in the shape of a witch or a pumpkin. Another interesting Halloween party idea for kids is to send them a box of corn candies and hide the invite inside!

Halloween Party Decorations
For Halloween decorations, keep the color theme in either of red, black, green and gray. You can even opt for white, as it is considered as the "witch color". If the party is at your house, you can use all the fabrics, curtains, table cloths and napkins in any of these colors to create the Halloween effect. Some props such as fake spider webs, strings of garlic, apples, multi colored candles (unlit, as it's kids' party), can be hung on the walls, or placed all over, to decorate the venue.

Halloween Party Games
As everybody knows, kids have a very short attention span so you really need to plan some exciting Halloween games to keep them occupied. Here are some fun Halloween party games for kids.

Mummy Wrap!
This is one of the most interesting Halloween party games for preschoolers. All you have to do is to make pairs and give each of them toilet paper rolls. Now, when you whistle, one of the kids starts to "mummy wrap" the roll around the other one. To add to the fun, say that the one who finishes first will be the winner! The excitement of the kids, to win, will only have to be seen to be believed!

Spoon Out The Eyelids!
To play this game, take a few ping-pong balls and color them to look like eyelids. Now, divide the kids into teams of three each. Fill a large mixing bowl with water and put the balls in it. All the teams have to come one by one and take out the eyelids from the bowl, but the twist is that they can not use their hands! They have to use a spoon to scoop out the eyelids. It can be quite entertaining to watch the ping-pong balls fall here and there and the kids unsuccessfully trying to balance them on their spoons!

How Many Candies?
To play this game, put some candies in a jar and covering it with a cloth, ask the kids, how many candies does it contain. The kid who answers correctly, gets the same number of candies. Keep the number small so that the kids are able to guess correctly and win the candies!

Halloween Party Crafts
Games are not the only Halloween activities for kids, which can keep them entertained. You can include certain craft activities too. For example, you can keep one pumpkin on each of the tables and give the kids colors and markers to decorate it. Or you can give each of them treat bags and some Halloween stickers which they have to stick on the bags as well as use colors to decorate it! Another idea is to give them paper plates in which you have already made two holes for the "eyes" and then ask the children to paint the rest of the face!

Halloween Party Food
Keep the food simple. You can go in for sandwiches, pizzas, cookies, muffins, cupcakes and fruit punches. If you feel that the menu is too ordinary, then make some sandwiches in the shape of a skull, adding gummy worms to the fruit punch to create a "bug juice" and spreading an orange-colored cream on the bagels and making facial features on them with corn candies!

Here's hoping that these ideas for a Halloween party help you in planning and conducting an interesting, enjoyable and fun party for the kids. All the best!
