For this, try to find old mannequins that are no longer in use, in stores. Take off their heads, and replace them with carved pumpkins. If you can get a wig, put one on the headless man and the headless woman. Further, light up the insides of the pumpkin with candles. Add this element to the aforementioned door decorations, and there is no way your guests can avoid getting a 'little' freaked. Awesome Halloween decorations, aren't these?
Get a Little Scary with Some Friendly Ghosts
In school, put up cut outs of friendly ghosts on the door. These crafts can easily be made by kids, with the help of some chart paper and paper plates. A candy wreath can be a great addition here, so that kids can enjoy. Have a message written for each room in the school on the ghost, and make the entire feel slightly mysterious. For instance, you could have a scary message on the principal's cabin door, the staff room, the gym room, the chemistry lab, etc. It is a wonderfully humorous way to enjoy the spirit of Halloween.
Get Super Scary with Some Not-So-Friendly Ghosts
Just like you built the headless man and woman, you could simply put a mask on the mannequin's head that would scare the living daylights out of your guests. In fact, if possible, place these mannequins inside your doorway where they won't be immediately seen, and leave the door slightly open. Let a crack of light out, and let your guests in, on their own. This is a great idea, if you are hosting a Halloween party at your house. Try it, and be assured it will work!
